OK, now that you got me started. What about these fat-ass cops on Wall Street with the big semi-automatic guns. Please don't tell me those fat-asses actually have bullets in those things? Can't you treat them the way Andy treated Barney and let them carry the guns around but without any bullets? Damn, I'm afraid they'll shoot each other if they actually have to use those things
It's doubtful that they'll shoot each other. The real danger is that they will shoot at a gunman, miss, and shoot innocent bystanders instead. That did happen in NYC not too long ago. I'm not saying that was deliberate, just crappy marksmanship.

What was deliberate is when the president of Queens requested help from the National Guard and Bloomberg said no because he felt only the NYPD should be the only people in the city that should armed.

So, Bloomberg thinks that NYC should be protected by police officers that can't shoot straight. I'm glad I don't live in NYC.

Indeed. Odds are the casualty list of wounded bystanders resulting from the great NYPD Shootout at the Empire State Building last August would have been shorter if there was an armed civilian or two present ... they could hardly have done worse than the two NYPD officers did once they showed up at the scene. There's every reason to believe the shooter might not have even made the murder attempt in the first place if he wasn't so confident he's be the only one armed among the mid-day crowd of disarmed sheeple in Bloomie's Nanny-Land.

just imagine how nice it would have been if the shooter DIDN'T have a gun at all....
you can blame the cops for shooting innocent victims, but who's fault was it that this whole thing started???
hint = answer is the man with the gun who started it.

Yes - and if pigs had wings, they'd be pigeons.

How lovely.

Come back to earth - fact - the shooter DID have a gun. Evil murderers will ALWAYS have a gun. The wonderful world of make-believe you evidently inhabit doesn't exist, and will never exist in reality, no matter how many useless additional laws grandstanding putzes like Schmuck Chewmer and Dianne Feinstein ram thru to tie law-abiding responsible Americans' hands with.

Reality - you are correct - it's the evil man with the gun who always "starts it." Always. The MAN - not the gun.

And the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

yes, it takes a human to pull the trigger.
the good guy/bad guy didn't seem to work to well in the seaford pharmacy killing.
nobody was sure who was the good guy or the bad guy...mistakes happen.

I'm new to the city, but so far my impressions of the NYPD are that these folks are pretty much: flunkies, losers and rejects.
The white cops seem to be especially stupid. Guess they couldn't get jobs at Walmart where the usual unskilled white labor goes.
The black and latino cops, well, they just look downright frightening.
Also, I love how you folks are just throwing your money away by having these flunkies looking in the bags of old ladies as they try to enter the subway system. Wow, Bloomberg is a financial genius. The old ladies will let you look in their bags, the terrorists (God forbid) will just walk through another entrance. A city of brilliant people.

If you feel that way, I think you should hurry back to your rock you crawled out from under. We sure don't need you. Go home.
