Rant!!!!!!!
For weeks, Republicans in the Senate have held up an $180 billion spending bill that would direct money to several federal agencies, from the Justice Department to the Department of Transportation. Funding for all kinds of measures—from rent subsidies for the poor, to a new NASA rocket, to transportation projects—has been left in limbo. But one specific provision that's being held up has victims' advocates particularly worried: a $41 million grant to help states and localities go after rapists by funding jurisdictions to process backlogs of rape kits, the samplings of biological evidence that are taken after a sexual assault and used to identify attackers.
The kits, which contain semen, blood, saliva, hair, and other DNA evidence from rape victims, can be held in storage for decades, allowing rapists to roam free. Experts estimate that there are over 100,000 untested kits sitting on shelves at scores of police departments and crime lab storage facilities around the country, partly because states and localities lack the money needed to process them.
That's the Republican party for you; they hate America.

George W. Bush took a $600 billion surplus and turned it into an $11 TRILLION deficit, deregulated the financial industry that almost collapsed the economy.

You are right. I stand corrected. But please don't call me a dunce. I am actually relatively intelligent. I just have a functional learning disability.

Bush won those wars. They were an investment in world peace through democracy.

bar0ck has lost those two wars, and started 3 more he's losing as we speak.

History will not be kind to the appeasing 0rganizer.

Number one it's not "his" rant. Like most of what he posts it was penned by someone else, stolen by him, cut and pasted and passed off as his own.
Number two, opposition to portions of what many might consider to be wasteful or unnecessary spending in a $180B bill does not necessarily mean that one opposes a specific line item that represents two hundredths of one percent of the $ in that bill. Should they just grease the skids for the entire $180B in spending to avoid being labelled a proponent of a "war on women" by nudniks like you ?

War on women.......pffft. Grow up.

They're very forgetful; they seem to have forgotten the Medicare Prescription Part D Drug Plan that GW Bush pushed through with no opposition without a way to pay for it as well as the war that was based on fictional "WMD's" that never existed causing 4500 Americans to be killed, 51,000 wounded, 500,000 Iraqis to be killed, two thirds being women and children.
That war alone costed $6 TRILLION after Bush said it would cost between $100 -$200 billion.

Rick Perry,Republican goofball governor of Texas and failed 2012 presidential candidate, the stumbling bumbling fool who couldn't remember what federal agencies he would close down during the 2012 Republican candidate debates if he were elected president, went into full rant mode this past Saturday regarding his indictment for abuse of power for vetoing money for prosecutors who investigate public corruption, he lashed out a day after he became the state of Texas first governor to be indicted since 1917.
His rants :
" We don't settle political differences with indictments in this country"

" This indictment amounts to nothing more than abuse of power, and I cannot and will not allow that to happen"

' If I had to do so, I would veto funding for the public integrity unit again"

The charges against Perry stem from Perry's funding veto after DA Rosemary Lemberg refused to resign after her arrest on a drunk driving charge.

Rick Perry showed up, and smiled for his mug shot, then went out for ice cream.
Slick Rick turned himself in for booking on felony charges for abusing his power when he vetoed funding for prosecutors who fight public corruption.
After his mug shot Perry tweeted that he was going to get himself some ice cream.
