My sister took piano lessons from Mr. Panos more than 29 years ago at our home. Within the last 2 years she came forward and told our family that Mr. Panos had fondled her on several occasions. She was around age 11 and wasn't sure if what she thought was happening was really happening. Rather than tell our parents, she quit taking lessons.
I hope this man gets some help and is kept aways from children.

I and my entire family have known this man for over 35 years. He has been alone with every member of our family on countless occasions and is a well respected and wonderful man. I believe in my heart that this is a terrible missunderstanding and I hope all will be able to recover. He was a wonderful part of my childhood.

I believe if he was guilty others would have come forward. He is a wonderful man. Maybe the girl no longer wanted to take lessons and it was easier to make this up. He is a wonderful man.

We have known Nick for over 30 years. We do not believe this allegation. He was wonderful to our family. We had five children and we never found him to be inappropriate. He came highly recommended from our neighbors who also praised him.

While your kids might have taken lessons from Nick for years and nothing happened, doesn't mean he is innocent in this matter. Pediphiles don't abuse every kid they meet, they target only one or select few.

There is a posting on the top of this page, in which a woman claims that Nick was inappropriate with her sister more then 29 years ago.

Let the legal system do it's job.

He is an incredible teacher and a wonderful sweet guy. Our child loves Nick and has been taking lessons from him for more than a year. We just don't believe that Nick would ever do something like that. There must be some kind of misunderstanding, something else going on here.

There is NO misunderstanding at all. I had to stop lessons with him for inappropiate touching. He is a predator...Be careful of your child.I am so sick of hearing people say well his door is open It din't matter in my case . The poor 11 year old girl is probably so confused because she trusted him like all the other children do.

I took lessons with Mr. Panos for 5 years when I was about 12. He was always very nice and fun to learn from. I'm not debunking the allegations against him, but I don't think people take into account the kind of person he is. He's a very affectionate person he likes to hug and he's gets very involved in his music. I don't think people understand what a passionate and affectionate person looks like anymore because we're all so guarded these days. If anyone touches us it's considered an invasion. We just don't know where the line is anymore because the line is different for every individual.

There is an inherent problem with any accusation that lacks evidence, such as credible witnesses.
Fear and ignorance has shaped these types of laws to be able to "swoop" and pick up anyone based on just accusations.
That is wrong.

Piano man like to play with his Organ!!! I bet he likes the Candle Opra too!!! Anyhow, he should stop hugging little girls. I don't care how passionate he is. It is downright creep for old men to be huggin little girls that are not their granddaugher

My sister speaks for me also. He taught me chess in the early seventies. He was an intelligent, sensative good man. I believe he will be vindicated.

I took a few lessons from him (as an adult) and my aunt still religously takes piano and chess lessons from him.. He is a very sweet man (a little ecentric) but thats why I love him!.. He is funny and he just gets so into the music, I think it's a misunderstanding.
I think he is still awaiting trial.

My granddaughter took lessons from him. I went with her once and was not at all happy with his touch feely ways and sure enough it came out later that he had been touching her. His sentencing is coming up and he is getting off because of a plea, with no time to serve. He has been doing this for too many years. It has caused great problems to family members having to deal with this. The justice system is failing our children, letting people like this be free. The poor child would not go near the piano for a long time, and she was very gifted in music! Thank goodness for organizations like Megan's law which have helped a lot.
