I toughed it out this past decade but each and every day is another disappointment. This country no longer resembles the place I was born, a place of opportunity and good fortune. It resembles a foreign third world country with each day, I want to leave America because it is no longer a great country. I went overseas for a year and respect for our country has nosedived, when I talk to people from other countries, many of them said they would not want to live in the USA, its a big change from nearly 10 years ago when everyone was jumping over themselves to come here. Somehow living in America is no longer coveted these days and it makes me want to leave.

~ 3 squirrels, quartered
~ Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning
~ 2 strips bacon, cut up
~ 1/2 stick butter
~ 1 onion, chopped
~ 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
~ 2 bell peppers, chopped
~ 2 stalks celery, chopped
~ 3 potatoes, cubed
~ 5 cups water
~ 1/4 cup burgundy wine
Rub the creole seasoning liberally over the squirrels.
In a dutch oven, melt the butter. Add the bacon.
Add the squirrel to the dutch oven and brown evenly. Remove.
To the dutch oven, add the onion, garlic, peppers and celery. Saute until the veggies are soft.
Add the meat back to the pot along with the water and potatoes. Stir together.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally.
Remove the squirrel pieces. Cool and debone.
Return meat to the pot. Stir in the wine. Heat to boiling again then reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
Serve over biscuits or toast.
Enjoy.

If Obama gets his way, don't worry. In a few years we'll be just like those socialists that you talk to. I believe that the first lady went back more than your 10 years. She wasn't proud of her country all of her life until last November.

I am no socialist but even Obama won't be able to create a socialist system once the US goes bankrupt. I already got a very nice country that is going to take me, can't wait ready to leave this sinking ship.

You can thank Bush and the Republicans for the bankruptcy.

Obama is just trying to stop the bleeding.

The Fed only cares about making sure Goldman Sachs has another record profit year, it could not give a rat what happens to average Americans. Don't be fooled Obama does not give a damn about you. He is only a smiley faced puppet.

Many years ago there was a system set up to get rid of the Middle class, so that it would come down to your either rich or poor and we are just now feeling the full effects of the system, and yes our Country has gone to shit so to speak, America always prided itself of "The Land Of Opprotunity" for what to become a statistic its sad to say but when countries that at one time we wouldnt even dream of living there but now they look better than ever that goes to show our country has and is failing us and no single president can be blamed for the Americas economic downfall it has been in a downward spiral for decades, its just that the politicians these days are sloppier at hiding it from us and its just hard to balance the mess these days for an example you give the poor man big tax breaks and tax the hell out of big companys what happens? they then out source to other countrys and there goes our jobs with it, it doesnt matter what decision is made to better our country something will have to be sacrificed to make it happen and some it will effect in a bad way but not everyone can come out smelling like roses.
