Wishful thinking?
Giants get on a roll and win remaining 4 games end up 10-6, 5-1 in NFC East and 9-3 in the NFC.
Cowboys lose to Saints, and then on Christmas Day,
get upset by Philly end up 10-6, 2-4 in NFC East and 7-5 in the NFC.
Giants NFC East champs.
Merry Christmas!!

In the watered down NFC, it is not out of the realm of possibility that the Giants make the playoffs, considering the season thus far it could be over now, but it isn't. Why tease us anyway? If they make the playoffs we all know it is one and done.

"AP
Giants beat Panthers
To end 4-game slide
Tiki Barber rushed for 112 yards and Peyton Manning threw for three TDs as Giants beat the Panthers, 27-13."

Did anyone notice Newsday's misprint? Wishful thinking, I'm sure.

I live in DC area, and from what I saw of Eagles-Skins, we should be optimistic. Skins were going in for winning TD but screwed themselves with too many men penalty at the end.

Columnists like Wallace Matthews convieniently ignore all the injuries the Giants had so they can write a whole column of "reasons" for the Giants' struggles.

I really wish someone would knock the lights out on Buress. He is one of the most disrupting players in the game. I hope at the end of year they send him and his crook it hat elsewhere

Here's why the media has a bad name.....Glauber writes an article in todays paper entitled "Plaxico talking too much". Points out that Plaxico stated that he won't be shut down by the Eagles secondary!! This was in response to a question from some media moron who asked Burress "....if the Eagles could take him out of the game." What do you think he's going to say....yeah I'm sure they'll shut me down? There really are very few persons left in the media who command respect....basically all they do is run after guys like TO, Keyshawn, Shockey or "Ocho cinqo" to get a quote so they can wrap a headline around it. Enough already!!!!

What a knuckle head that Glauber is huh??? The best irony of all time has got to be this reporter telling an athlete that they should keep quiet. Put your microphone away glauber and he will!!

The thing that scares me is Eli's arm....Didnt the Giants look at him before we drafted the guy? The Meadowlands is a tough place to throw a football , cold, crosswinds.Didnt the Giants evaluate Eli ?When Eli goes back to pass ,I cringe...his throws are short..wobbling !!! He throws like.. "this is where you should be and if your not , its not my fault". Like a robot QB !No arm strength and no personality. After 2 years..he still looks bad out there..
I wouldnt mind so much if I heard he needed shoulder surgery...but thats not the case. Never saw a weaker arm QB then Eli ! It really isnt hard to throw a 40 yd pass in the pro's.. or anywhere else for that matter.Go outside and measure off 40 yds...its not that hard to do. Eli cant hit Jim Finn on a swing pass out of the backfield !

As mediocre as Eli is, I think the defense is the biggest problem. And, they need to fire Coughlin.
