Election is over and done with.
Barack Obama won by a land slide:
In New York he won by 63% of the vote to Romney’s 36%.
National popular vote he received 62,615,406 votes to Romney’s 59,142,004 votes.
Electoral Vote:
Obama 332 to Romney 206 that is a difference of 126 votes.
126 electoral votes is a landslide victory. That is a big difference. The red/blue State electoral map based on who won the State’s electoral vote only looks Republican good because they low population mid-west States.
He was handed from the Republican eight years of Bush/Cheney the greatest economic mess since the Great Depression. Coupled that mess with a Republican Bush/Cheney lack of oversight financial banking crash. Let’s also throw in two Republican Bush/Cheney never ending unfunded wars.
Seems to be self-evident that he has done pretty good taking into consideration he got no help from the “say no”“do nothing” Republican’s in Congress who used every underhanded tactic to deny him anything.
Unprecedented Republican Filibusters on everything. Job, job, jobs was the Republican battle cry but NO jobs bill was ever passed by the House. Yet they have voted to repeal Obamacare 40 times. Has the House done anything? Has Mitch McConnell in the Senate done anything but oppose?
Republicans handed him a total mess to clean up. Then they refused to help in any worthwhile manner they created. While at the same time Republicans bitch because he isn’t cleaning up their mess faster.
All things considered,“HISTORY” will rank him pretty high even though it might take some time for the right wing extremists to quit foaming at the mouth because they see a dark skin man as President.

1. Raised my Premium
ObamaCare insurance premium increases are a response to the protections offered by ObamaCare. The primary cause of the insurance premium rate hikes seems to be the mandate to cover high-risk consumers, such as Americans with pre-existing conditions. ObamaCare is insurance reform aimed at making insurance more affordable, it actually enacts a number of provisions to protect consumers against insurance premium rate hikes.
ObamaCare does not increase insurance premiums directly. In fact, the law states that as of 2011, insurance companies are no longer be able to raise insurance premiums for the sake of profit (this is ObamaCare's rate review provision). If health insurance companies do raise premiums, they will have to justify rate hikes of over 10% to the state they operate in and then disclose this information immediately on their website and healthcare.gov . If the State does not have an effective rate review program, the Federal Government will step in.
Some insurance companies are using the confusion over ObamaCare to raise premiums on unsuspecting Americans in order to capitalize before more protections are put in place, grandfathering people into more expensive plans. This is in response to protections going into effect in 2014 and the need to cover more high-risk Americans.
Yet to be fair, higher earners may see their rates go up due to the inherent "cost sharing" associated with ObamaCare being a tax. Also note, high-end insurance plans are subject to a 40% excise tax. The excise tax will greatly increase the cost of high-end insurance plans.
Medical Loss Ratio / 80/20 Rule - Insurance companies have to spend at least 80 percent of premium dollars on claims and activities to improve health care quality. 85% in large group markets.
2. Eliminated FSA's
FSAs were invented by Congress in 1978, and the use-it-or-lose-it rule dates to proposed regulations issued in 1984 sparked by a concern about excessive compensation deferral. Why the new interest in modifying the rule? Under the Affordable Care Act, aka ObamaCare, starting Jan. 1, 2013, there will be a new $2,500 annual salary-deferral limit for healthcare FSAs. Currently, there is no legal limit, and 78% of large employers set it at $5,000 or higher, according to AON Hewitt. The $2,500 cap was a revenue raiser estimated at $14.6 billion over 10 years. The thinking is that with the cap, there is no need for the use-it-or-lose-it rule. But that comes with a cost.
The $2,500 cap on FSA contributions will increase the tax burden on participants who spend more than the cap amount on qualified medical expenses. Every dollar over the cap amount will be subject to both state and federal taxes.
This tax will not affect the average FSA participant, whose yearly contribution ($1,386 in 2008) is shy of the contribution cap. It will instead hurt the most vulnerable participants: those with extremely high medical expenses.
3. Paying for others who smoke (like Obama)
Fact is you are already paying for people who have high insurance bills due to smoking. Yet, depending on how insurers respond to it, it's also possible that younger smokers could wind up facing higher penalties than they otherwise would have.
Starting in 2014, the law requires insurance companies to accept all applicants regardless of pre-existing medical problems. But it also allows them to charge smokers up to 50 percent higher premiums, a way for insurers to ward off bad risks.
4. Google "Obamacare exemptions list"
As with anything new, there needs to be adjustments. Problem is the Republicans only want to repeal Obamacare and not attempt to correct anything.
The Republican House voting 40 times to repeal does not correct anything that should be changed. Where is the Republican plan???

I thought that the President what the head of the executive branch of government and with his selected cabinet runs the day to day operations of the country. The cabinet heads report directly to the President who can take "oversight" action at any time. He has executive powers and the right to request Congress to act on any matter that he and his cabinet feels needs regulated.

No Senate Committee rules the government. They may hear testimony on proposed regulations and make recommendations to the full Senate but they do no direct oversight and alone impose any regulations.

Bush and his cabinet are the ones who watch over the various areas of the economy and country. If they are doing their jobs they would alert the entire country when the door to the chicken coop is left open. Problem with the Bush Admin was that his cabinet acting as the watch dog, was not guarding the chicken coop and the fox was busy making nightly raids. When the farmer found out that his chicken coop was a mess and pointed the finger at the dog you are protecting the dog by pointing at the cat.

Put the blame where it belongs on a President and his cabinet who were not preforming their duties as the people's watchful eye.

I see you graduated from the Glen Beck school of wingnuts.

If you think you are full of smart, think again and you likely will be twice as smart as you thought you were to begin with. Likely someday you will face the reality of what you are based on what you have done in life.

The whole problem is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser men can see the grey areas and work through them.

Your posting made you feel a little bit smarter but then your stupidity of self lessened it lot to the readers.
