What about Rove? His mistakes really hurt the network and the people that listened to and believed him.

Please. How exactly did Rove "hurt" anyone?

The networks (and contrary to what the anti-Fox obsessives wish us to believe, Rove is a regular talking head on many networks ...) who aired him on segments certainly weren't "hurt" - he's on air for one reason only - because he's a big name that lots of sheeple love to tune in and foam over. Lots of viewers watching talking heads behaving badly and ranting loudly at each other - that's all the networks care about. It's purely entertainment; they could care less about who's "right" or "wrong." Completely irrelevant to their business model. So let's not be naive & pretend it is, mmm-k?

As for "the people that listened to and believed him," how exactly were they "hurt?"

First off, credulous schnooks who rely on ANYTHING they see or hear these talking heads ON EITHER SIDE spew on these BS infotainment shows ON ANY NETWORK without doing their own fact-checking and critical thinking deserve whatever "hurt" comes their way - I have little sympathy for them.

But if we are to give a rat's azz about the millions of ignorant fools who get taken for a ride on wings of completely unsustainable campaign propaganda, surely whatever "hurt" has befallen those who may have been taken in by Rove's pronouncements pales in comparison to the 4 long years of continued national fiscal and economic ruination that is descending upon the heads of those credulous fools who, against all objective evidence, have returned our incompetent amateur Narcissist-in-Chief and his mob of progressive naifs to power.

Now, that's a world of "hurt."

Rove did get the boot from Fox News, as did Dick Morris I heard.
It's about time.
I agree with shameless as well on them getting rid of that other clown, Sean Hannity.
Glenn Beck is a loon further reduced to making a fool of himself on some unknown cable channel.

Tick Tock, fox bootlickers!

New York magazine contributing editor Gabriel Sherman reported on Tuesday that Fox News producers are under orders to limit the appearances of contributors Karl Rove and Dick Morris. Fox relied heavily upon Rove and Morris to interpret polling and project the winner of the 2012 presidential election, which they invariably projected being Mitt Romney.

Morris not only failed to call the race accurately, he repeatedly made outrageous predictions of how the race would turn out, all in the GOP's favor. In the wake of Morris and Rove's role as Fox election experts ending.

Tick Tock!

After requesting to urinate on a Fox News producer last week, Emmy Award-winning actor Ed Asner continued to slam the conservative news network on Monday night.

Asner said on Current TV that he thought Fox News host Sean Hannity “was behind on his rabies shots” and that he was proud to be portrayed as a “Hollywood liberal.”

Fox News personalities began attacking Asner last week for narrating an animated video produced by the California Federation of Teachers. The video claimed that wealthy Americans pushed for tax cuts and found tax loopholes to enrich themselves. Their quest for greater wealth was detrimental to the middle-class, who relied on tax-funded services like public schools, according to the video.

These are the lowest [tax] rates as I know it for the rich since God immemorial,” Asner said on Current TV.“They were higher under Eisenhower, they were higher with Clinton, so these are very low rates that the rich are now objecting to.”

Fox Bootlickers, get Ready. Fox is Going down!

The National Latino Media Council reported last week that ABC, CBS and NBC have made some progress in improving the representation of Latinos working on their entertainment programming. But the group couldn’t give Fox a passing grade this year.

In fact, NLMC gave the network an F in its 11th annual diversity report card. Fox failed to provide NLMC with data on the representation of Latinos in front of and behind the camera even though the network, along with ABC, CBS and NBC, agreed to do so when it signed a memorandum of understanding 13 years ago.

In its evaluation, NLMC considers the number of Latino actors a network employs for primetime scripted and reality programming as well as the number of Latino writers, producers, directors and entertainment executives.

Composed of 15 Latino civil rights and advocacy organizations dedicated to increasing Latino employment in the media industry, NLMC blasted Fox for being “unresponsive” to the group’s request for data:

For years, NLMC has highlighted Fox’s lack of transparency in providing clear and complete information to evaluate diversity performance. Two years ago when a new diversity team was created at the network we were hopeful for positive change. To our surprise there was change, but only for the worse. For the last couple of years the Fox diversity team has been unresponsive to NLMC’s request for timely and complete data.

Fox’s refusal to uphold its agreement with NLMC comes at a time when the network’s parent company, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp., is lobbying the Federal Communications Commission to relax our nation’s ownership rules. And Murdoch’s lobbying efforts are paying off.

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski is planning to lift the ban on a company owning both a daily newspaper and TV stations in the same market — paving the way for Murdoch to buy the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune.

Lifting the ban would further threaten broadcast ownership by people of color, deepening our nation’s media inequality. Recent FCC figures show that people of color own just 3.6 percent of all full-power TV stations and only 8 percent of radio stations.

Chairman Genachowski is ignoring a 2011 federal court ruling that ordered the FCC to study the impact of any rule changes on ownership diversity before adopting any changes. Indeed, the chairman appears all too ready to help Rupert Murdoch broaden his media empire — which pushes an agenda that often marginalizes people of color.
