Another murderer with a badge...

What happened to the taser, was it out of order or was his pistol not loaded, why did he have to use a shotgun.

Come on people, you have to ask yourselves why hpd wantonly uses deadly force. If a suspect has to be stopped with a weapon and the suspect is not armed with a gun then aim for a leg. That would definitely incapacitate anyone, but to shoot to kill when the police brought themselves within distance of harms way is just plain MURDER.

I don't care what anybody says. The circumstances definitely indicate that the one pulling the trigger manouvered the situation towards escalation with the intent to kill instead of deescalating the confrontation. And that my friends is murder.

As in most hpd murders, the suspect was probably non-white...

from the hpd academy.

News Bulletin:

Texas Expat, you are officially denied entrance to our academy.
Reason: in your future you will move to germany and become a whiny ass baby and complain about everything we do without a lick of common sense. You are out of touch with reality and really just a warm beer drinking baby.

Thank you for your application.

In the 90's HPD was accused of killing innocent citizens during some high speed pursuits. HPD's stance was that criminals or crime suspects should not go free. I agree with that but at what cost? Should an innocent citizen die because someone exceeds the speed limit?

Now HPD's trend is gunning down people before they make it to court and have their say.

I recognize that officers have the right to defend themselves. But the recent rash of killings casts more doubt on HPD than the suspects.

I hope HPD will justify their actions because we cannot afford to have a police force that citizens won't respect or obey.

I am not saying that. Far from it. I am saying why do innocent people have to sacrifice their lives?

HPD has always been a haven for trigger happy, dumb ass good ole boys.

Most of them belong behind bars, they're a menace and pose a danger to society.

Come on, who in their right mind would shoot to kill a handcuffed prisoner or an unarmed suspect.

Sure there are many honest hard working cops out there, hats off to them. Unfortunately it's the few bad apples that spoil the bunch. The honest cops ought to stop covering-up their rotten colleagues maybe society would change their minds about the police.

Has anyone checked on the officers background? He is a "Distinguished Expert Marksman"; the academy knows this since he qualifies there every year. Distinguished Expert Marksman" means that you can hit the target every time.
And why was a shotgun used? Police use shotguns for crowd control or shoot to kill.
How many of the other officers discharged their weapons?

What police academy expelled you? You don't have a clue what you're talking about. Cops are trained to shoot to 'stop.' Not 'shoot to kill.'

Every large city struggles with having the right level of police protection and proper training. Houston is no exception. Houston's problem escalated after many Katrina and Rita evacuees came to live in Houston. To make matters worse, convicts escaped from Louisiana and came to Texas as well as to other states. Increasing the police force to match the demand for law enforcement was slow and there has been some talk that standards were lowered to attract more officers. Cops from other parts of the country were offered incentives if they move to Houston and work as cops. Given the circumstances during the last 2 years, it's not surprising HPD has more than its share of bad apples.

I thought that a person was assumed innocent before being proven guilty.
In other words, "Chief Diversity Officer", you are advocating battlefield justice; shoot and ask questions later; be judge, jury and executioner.

Some of these "criminals" as you call them are people who suffer with mental diseases and disorders.

I doubt that you are HPD Academy. If you are the Chief needs to pull you and have you re-evaluated with a Psyc. exam.
You're comments are a disgrace to the decent men and women in Blue and just prove that the other posts are hitting a nerve.

Never was expelled; I chose a different career. But you just make my case for me: Shotguns are not used to "stop"; they are used to kill. Ever went hunting, Bubba?

As much as I detest violence. I agree that there has to be a more humane way of apprehending a criminal than shooting him with a shotgun. If you have to shoot then use a handgun and aim for the legs.

As a matter of fact Amnesty International has failed it's purpose for not filing suit in international courts (The Hague) against police departments in the u.s. for facilitating human rights violations by issuing shotguns to patrolmen/women.

There is absolutely no reason for firing a shotgun at anyone in order to apprehend him.

It's no wonder that people are resorting to killing cops. The bad apples have endangered the good cops by creating a "me or them" situation in the people's minds.

One has to consider whether police departments like hpd knowingly recruit and hire individuals with a low inhibition level towards crime (potential criminals). Looking at track records in the u.s., some do...

I have waited 2 hours and no reply from "Chief Diversity"; I guess he no comment.

I think that we all must pray for truth to prevail; with that many witnesses and that many eyes, all could not have seen the same exact incident.
It is a proven fact if a scene is presented to 10 people and each has to describe in detail what they had just witnessed, there would be many versions of what had just occurred.

Again, out of 10, 1 will be chosen, and 9 will be left; where are you, the one? The ritgeous one.

Then why are most gunshot wounds inflicted by cops for the most part head or chest wounds?

To all who are posting, again, I ask that the public demand a more detailed investigation leading up to the shooting.

It was brought to my attention that the officer, SCD, has been in trouble before using violence to settle issues. He has a long history of insobordination, family violence, writing fasle reports, harassment, etc.

Ok... with this post you really just showed how ignorant you are. Like I said in the other post you started. Move to Germany so you can belly ache with Tex. Expat.

My god man, you want to rob people and then get special treatment. LEAVE.
