Is there anything that can be done to stop these 18-wheelers skipping the scales using old 72 and back roads? It is very dangerous.

Sorry but no nothing can be done about it now. When the bridges got reworked and re certified for the weight that made it a legal road to carry that much weight and not a low weight road anymore. I agree something needs to be done about it though!

I know the weigh stations in other states take skipping having to stop their stations very seriously. They are required to stop and weigh and show paper work correct? Something is not even right about this. Why are we as taxpayers required to pay people to work there? why is place even there if nobody required to stop?

We r allowed on that road, same as u. Scales can't b placed on every road thru out the United States. Why do any of you have a problem with it. U r interfering with honest people making honest money. We have the strictest guidelines and regulations on our job. It is no more dangerous for us to be on that road than it is for you. Most people in cars drive at least 70 mph r faster on it. We can only do around 55 mph. Because our truck might flip. Where are all the cops to protect you from that. What are we as taxpayers paying the cops salary for. There's more important things going on in Iuka than that. Get your support behind something good instead of this. We are required to get a physical every 2 years in order to drive a truck. There r people driving cars everyday that can't see well enough to do so. Do something about that

Answer the mans legitimate question. Why are the scales even out there if nobody is required to stop?

most of you are hard working honest people, however one bad apple can ruin it for the whole bunch. When somebody's child gets ran off the road and killed on a small narrow road, then something will get done about it. Until then, the mdot workers will just sit over there on their fat asses and do nothing.

I think evading taxes, scales or a roadblock is a crime. What we need are less lazy MDOT officers. Sorry to offend anyone, and, yes I know what you're paid so I understand.

I have so much I could say to you but I can see your not worth the time. Guarantee if you went to the grocery store and found no food or toilet paper to wipe your ass on the shelves because trucks were not able to run you'd be the first person bitchen.

Tell 'em, bro!!! And to answer your question? The people complaining have nothing better to do with their so-called lives other than to try and stir up some useless ****! Life must be pretty boring in that town!
