this kid seems to have a good education, why does he want to work for this POS paper?

They use it as a stepping stone for their resume. lus a new editor will be taking over soon so the newspaper will change hopefully for the better.

At least he won't have to worry about spelling and grammar. Nobody at the paper seems to know either.

Sorry for all the negatives being here (comments especially)...

Maybe the stipulation to edit the stories in order to correct factual mistakes (and even just spelling and grammar) would reduce some of the negatives. Someone has to care at some point... because it drives most of us crazy.

We just don't realize what a service the "Sentinel and Enterprise" provides. I recently read a blog that told the story about a woman who is running against wealthy incumbent democrat,Jane Harmon for District 38 in Calif. This candidate was trying to get information on her and her campaign into the local press (a newspaper that has a daily distribution of 150,000 subscribers). The editor sent her a letter that basically said, "don't call us, we'll call you--and don't expect to hear from us". How are residents/citizens expected to hear the local news if the paper refuses to print the information? We as citizens rely on our free press to give us information from which we can make decisions.

Thank you "Sentinel and Enterprise" for covering political events and allowing the residents of North central Mass know what's going on and allowing us to make a decision regarding our political choices.

I have to edit and clarify my previous blog entry: It is Calif 36th district where Mattie Fein is running a campaign against wealthy incumbent democrat Jane Harman. The paper that refused to run an article about Ms Fein is the "Torrence DAily Breeze" which has a circulation of 150,000 readers. For more info see: Boston "Tale of Two Districts and Two Newspapers". You too will appreciate and thank our local "Sentinel and Enterprise" and have a greater respect for the young and enterprising writers and photographers that cover local news and stories.

Awesome. Now he can not take pictures of the news the Sentinel and Emptyprise does not report.
