The big part that the news is missing is that the guy was in boxer briefs, socks and a hat.. he took his clothes off in the kitchen (where he left his wallet) then he went upstairs into the bedrooms. The news needs to get it right

Correct and full disclosure is never a priority when it comes Island Park reporting.

I'm disgusted and frankly, the Mayor and the Board are so disengaged from the community that they should be ousted and the people of IP should be allowed to VOTE for the Mayor and the Board.

Neighborhood watches can only go so far.

Maybe the girl met him while hanging out in front of the classic deli or the bar on the corner- there are alot of young girls loitering in front of these establishments. Parents should make sure their kids are actually doing something productive instead of wandering around island park

If I was to find someone in my apartment in the middle of the night his boxers, he will have a hard time explaining how a size 9 work boot was found is his a*s*s*.

This guy is an idiot! He'll have his night time visitors for a long time.

She did not know him. He is a disturbed kid that is in desperate need of a 12 step program... not to say that i wouldn't be in jail for murder had this happened in my house.....but the 14 year old did not know him

Trust me, I feel the same way about the teens - both boys and girls - in Island Park.

They run around in groups wreaking havoc and drawing trouble in.

The parents should be ashamed of their children and themselves. Keep track of your children and who they are with!

And no, I don't have children.

even with what was said here something still not right.
Why that off your cloths down stairs? Is she hiding some thing more. does she know him and is just afraid to say something? how did he get in? did she let him in? As with every incendent there are many unanswered questions.

It is amazing to me that nobody is upset about the thought of a crazy naked man going into a 14 year old girls bedroom at 6 in the morning ... all you can think of is what this girl did to make this happen. believe it or not all teenagers are not bad ... no wonder the country is in the state that it is in everyone is so g'dam negative and miserable ....

My thoughts exactly. Why is it assumed it is this girls fault.

There are a lot of good people out there, but only the bad is really in the news. Some people have become zombies and love the bad news and those Reality shows. Plus some parents have forgotten to engage with their kids.

Now with this bizarre story, some knucklehead breaks into a house gets undressed in the kitchen and is found in a 14 year old's bedroom, are these good parents, is this teen not telling something, or is it that these low life idiots are getting the better of the public. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, let me find anyone in their bloomers standing in my apt, I WILL be minus one size 9 work boot! I'd like to see the perp in the emergency room trying to explain his rectal dilemma!

I have got to say I moved here in 2007 from long beach..... It's only over the bridge!!! I decided to buy a house here and start a family, little did I know! Since I moved here there has been two shootings on my block and a homicide and my neighbor burned his house down because he was so stoned!!! I have NEVER experienced anything like this in my life... This was such a mistake!! I never knew Island Park was such a low life town! I think the main problem here is that I would say 90% percent of the people are renters. I think they need to raise the taxes and force all of the low lifes out of here. This story about the guy in the bedroom does not even surprise me.. I'm starting to expect it from this disgusting town!
