I don't know who went over to Franklin General, but a couple of people I remember from the HGH/Imc medical records dept are Barbara Termine, Ellen Baumgartner Ronnie Schumann and April Lobozza... April, I know, went over to New Island Hospital like I did...I would love to hear from Barbara--don't know where she went. Ronnie Schumann retired, I think.

My name is jim.higney. my mom was mary jane higney rn. She was the nite nursing supervisor 4 many years. Myself and my hole family worked there. Chuck higney, mary jane. Wow, i cant b lieve the place closed. I worked as a orderly from 1972 to 1975 when i graduated nursing school i went 2 veeb school of nsg.

I spent 12 years as a Chief Inhalation Therapist . First we operated from a basement closet I was under the direction of Dr J Barcham of the department of Anesthesia so many great people helped us grow Drs, H Capen, Dr Lee who always called me "THE professor",Dr brody

As we grew both in volume and professionalism finally we had a multy roomed department blood gas lab sterilazation room we now formulated a respiratory procedure manual which was approved by the medical staff.We started doing blood gases which prior were done by the lab., placing endotracheal tubes all trach care including changing. Bird respiratory treatments for various conditions..Qualified Members in my dept. were certified by the hospital to place arterial lines and their care. Life saving volume ventilators, pulmonary function study,s all under our control thanks to one man Dr Leon Oxman, though several MD'S resented us for these advancements.
I now have just retired from a 30 year law enforcement carer as a Deputy Sheriff in Brevard County Florida where I still live.'
Thanks to all the folks who with good faith helped me and the department of Respiratory Therapy grow in that institution..as for those against me you also helped me become a stronger person, but you didn't get me.
