Is it me but did it seem to take a lot longer to get the snow cleared from the roads than usual?

There was no salt and if you live in CC they only had one truck running, the other was down. They had 3 or 4 days notice of this storm seems like they would have got that truck fixed and ordered some salt.

not sure why, but McLean County always manages to clean up thier roads. Maybe if the County would pull together and quit worrying about which city has the best and the most, our county could do as well.

Maybe if the County would pull together and quit worrying about which city has the best and the most, our county could do as well. McLean County uses STATE OF KENTUCKY equipment and money to clear STATE AND FEDERAL HIGHWAYS. Cities must use local money except on State & Federal Highways. McLean County (actually it's the State Dept. of Highways over there) puts all their eggs in one basket and clears US 431 from county line to county line. If you travel any other road in that county you'll find out they didn't even touch them. A few years ago we had an ice storm that crippled every county and city. I had to go to Owensboro and found 431 clear and dry. Muhlenberg and Daviess Counties were still ice covered. On the return trip I decided to come back on Hwy. 81...It had not been touched and the secondary highways to the right and left hadn't either. Still Muhlenberg could have done a better job.
