During the 1700's some of Wickham family were living in New York. Some of the family were loyal to England while others were Patriots. I am curious if any came through Woodbridge as Redcoats during the Revolutionary War? From what I can gather General George Washington sent 2 of his spies to New York to purchase My great Uncle Parker Wickham's Robins Island after it was seized by attainer by the state of New York. Parker's Father Joseph Wickham was a GreatGreat Grandfather of mine. I heard the Redcoats were on Lake Avenue in the Colonia section and that they had fired upon a patron at what once was the Rahway Inn in Rahway during the Revolutionary War.
