Graduated in 1963 from RNHS. Mamaroneck was the greatest place to grow up, and the greatest time period in history I'll ever know....The Harbor, Fireman's Parade, Carnival Bennie's, Marion's, Walter's Hot Dogs, Cook's (sorry to hear that's gone). The 5 and Dime, movie theater, pizza by the slice on the Avenue, never had better pizza since then. Oddly I remember when Jonathan Winters was out at the Grand Union on the corner of the Post Rd and Barry Avenue--he came out the door and was laughing giving out cigarettes to kids.He was arrested for that. I've been gone for 50 years--did I say that?!! Lol!! Hope everyone there is trying to keep that uniqueness alive.
