Although I don't condone the derogatory term "wetbacks," used by straight american, he has a point. Laws are laws, we pay taxes for the luxury of schools, hospitals, and other benefits. As for you "brown pride," so you owned Texas huh? Or do you mean Mexico did? Are you even from Mexico? Well look here, I am a Hispanic that was born and raised in Texas. In all my time and experiences, I still cannot get use to ignorant Hispanics calling themselves Mexican. Hispanics have Mexican ancestry, but they ARE NOT MEXICANS. Times back then were different. The things done in the past where nothing to be proud of, but it was all that was known. We have evolved as a society, and created governments and laws. How about you catch up with the rest of civilization and grow up brown pride. Laws are in place, as is a government. We must abide by them, if not, move to another country and forfeit your citizenship to the U.S. Let's see how much brown pride you have now. As a Hispanic, I am against illegal immigration. Rules are set forth and need to be followed. How about expediting the procedure for applying for citizenship? That is one of the main reasons for illegal immigration, it takes too long to apply and wait. If in the end, even after the procedure speeds up and they still don't qualify, so be it. That is the law. We have evolved are laws along with us. You want change? Don't swear and threaten other people, contact a government official. This country needs to compromise. We seem to forget that the country was built on a bundle of compromises known as the Constitution of the Unites States of America.

Just because I call myself American Rights on Topix don't think you know me, my race, country or countries of descent or what parts of the US I have lived in. I am an American whether it be by birth or immigration status and therefore I believe in Americans rights. American rights are rights afforded to those who are born in this country or those who have immigrated here legally and are residents or have become citizens. I don't believe in doing others harm because I don't agree with them but I do believe if they are here illegaly they should leave either on their own or with help. There are reasons for immigration laws. And all countries have them. One reason is national security. Another is prevent to over population which causes many of the economic problems we are seeing now. So to anyone who does not agree with the US immigration laws all I have to say is get out and I don't care whether they are from Canada, Mexico, China or Germany or what color or race they are.

Now let's see.
Our government gives out
free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care, and free
education and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic
citizen.

Then the illegals came by the
tens of thousands.. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for
free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you
have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by an emergency room doctor;
your child's 2nd grade class is
behind other schools because
over half the class doesn't speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a
bilingual box; I have to
'press one' to hear my bank
talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other
than 'Old Glory' are
squawking and screaming
in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe
it's time for the government

The first thing Americans must remember is that the term "Hispanic" is defined by the Spanish language and once somebody loses the Spanish language and becomes an English speaker that person leaves to be a "Hispanic", NOT a Hispanic anymore. English (only) speaking Hispanics DOESN´T EXIST.
