After the 13 hour Filibuster by Senator Rand Paul yesterday, its clearer than ever before who actually cares about Human Rights and Constitutional Protections and who just cares bout the Status Quo as usual. I personally #StandWithRand. I can't imagine any reasonable person coming to the conclusion that the President could in this USA in 2013 be Judge Jury and Executioner unless they were void of any morals, of any decency and of any true care for humanity. What Say YOU!!

Im sorry this thread is not about me but nothing happened to my job.. This thread is about standing against any prospect of King Obama or any future POTUS from considering using Drone Strikes on Americans on American Soil without Due Process. Please stay on topic no matter how hard it may be for you to do so.

My family is only relevant to me, I don't expect nor did I ask for you to feel any different.

letter from Eric Holder today:
"The President does not have the authority to use a drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil."

Rand Paul received a letter today from Eric Holder and accepted and agreed with the Justice Dept. statement on how and when to use the Drone Program would be appropriate on American soil. However under 'Imminent Threat' listed in the 'Patriot Act', this would again be left to the Commander and Chief's discretion.

I do not resent Paul for the 'actual' filibuster! I watched most of it & he crowded in a lot of different things but NEVER did he say he didn't trust Obama, nor did he say he believed Obama had misused the drones, he supports the drones.... he got a lot of stuff in, but he did get a letter from Holder however Holder had told Cruze the same thing the day before, so, but he did do an actual filibuster! That's more than old Mitch ever does, nobody ever knows why he disagrees with anything, he just says NO...

So, I'm OK with the filibuster.

Laws become Constitutional when voted and passed by the US Congress and signed into law by the President of United States. Born of necessity at a time when over 3000 people were attacked and killed on US soil using 5 of our own planes. It's not necessary that you like it.

But as for Paul's question "would a NON-combative American Citizen be killed by a drone", the answer is NO. What are you saying, now you're a pacifist? This is a Ron Paul now Rand Paul thing.

However as Holder told Cruze the day before. in the event such as Pearl Harbor, YES we may use drones if that were the tool necessary as well as fighter jets and any means necessary to protect Americans from attacks on their own soil.

But if Paul needed an answer to his question, I didn't mind the filibuster, and especially the fact that he actually pyhsically conducted one.

I think you need to go back to basic civics classes. Laws passed by congress are only constitutional when they adhere to the US Constitution. Otherwise they are mere legal pieces of legislation. Legal does not always mean constitutional. Legislative legal law does not ever supercede Constitutional Law. That is why Legislative Law is put in the United States Code, Not the US Constitution. It was fear based reactionary legislation that was passed post 9/11 by those who sought to capitalize on the attack to make it easier for the government to control the population and the information exchanged between private individuals including warrantless wire tapping. Unconstitutional as the day is long. But legal because the government passed the law. Im not an individual that is going to hide behind the color of law to justify robbing someone of their life and their rights like most Liberals including you Lib do.

What's this, your latest attempt to provoke me by taking an opposing view you have 'yet' to make?

If it's an argument you're looking for, take your pick! You seem to be disliked to about the same degree on just about 'every' thread.(either you don't know 'Daddy' or I guess you're just not interested)

Witnessing what exactly? Do you think that King Obama or any other sitting president past or future should have ever had or ever have the Constitutional authority to play judge, jury and executioner to any Non-Combatant American on American soil who has not been charged with a crime or given his day in court? That is the purpose of this topic and You either #StandWithRand by saying NO or you #SitWithObama by saying anything else.
