I'm sorry to hear that, that is a BAD spot,
what is that, like the 3rd death right there in the same spot?

Where was it exactly? What happened? It's so sad. You always think you're driving careful and then so many highway deaths happen and make you wonder.

Jerry has been a band member with me for eight Years. We've been everywhere together, and he was always there, thru thick and thin. When you spend that much time with someone, you really get to know them. He was like a brother to me. He was not only a great musician and singer, but he was a truely special human being. He loved his family, and would go way out of his way to help anyone, I've seen it first hand. Please keep Kim, Niki, Jerry Vaughn and all the family in your prayers. This is a tough, tough loss for everyone.

I worked with Jerry for 20 years before retiring at Novelis. He was a great and true friend. We were close enough to argue like brothers at times but set and laugh about it 30 minutes later. How odd, I was on my way to Somerset today with my son and we were talking about Jerry Wayne. He was truly a great musician and had done so much to encourage my son when he first started playing the guitar. His love for Bluegrass was enormous, but his love for his family was beyond that.
When I was sick, he called often to see if I needed him to come to Lee County and help me. He offered to mow my yard, take me to the doctor, or whatever I needed.
Dave, I never met you, but I felt I knew you personally through Jerry. He talked often at work about and the band. I have all your CD's and will now treasure them forever.
Last but not least, to his family I send my heart felt condlences. I loved him like a brother and he loved you all with everything in him. Kim, you were the only love he ever knew. Jerry Vaughn, you were his pride and joy. Niki, you will always be Daddy's little girl. Finally, being a Grandpa had given him new life......Tonight he rests with the angels, making even sweeter music than ever..
May God Comfort You,

I am the brother of the other person in the wreck. I don't know any details and haven't gotten a lot of information, because I live so far away (Oklahoma), but my brother is doing better from what I understand. My mother told me he was pretty upset about the whole thing. He did go to the hospital, but is home now with some injuries. I truly feel for the loss the other family has gone through, and I hope they can find the strength to get through this devastating time. My family's prayers are with them.
