Last time a bunch of white people got together with guns on their hips, I'm sure something bad happened. I guess self-defense is a defense mechanism. Kind of a pseudo-civil-disobedience. But, it's legal... so we should be glad. I'm going to have to trust a cop's judgement on this, though. Since a dude with a gun is not a cop. And no sort of vigilante either. Just an enthusiast... of guns.

Just wanting to show off your piece, though... True, everyone at these meetings would be friendly. With each other. What could go wrong? I mean, it's not chainsaw juggling or anything. Just a group of men holding each others' loaded guns. Hell, if there are Comic Conventions, there shall be Gun Conventions. Oh, that's right, gun conventions. Time and place. Open carry demonstrations are asking for trouble, from that restriction-pushin'-man! It starts in the park,(with kids and dog-walking?), next thing you know, the "governor" wants to prove a point and demonstrate at city hall. Sounds like a militia.

I'll open-carry when I feel unsafe... to defend myself from the militia... thank you.

By the by, can you open-carry, say, five guns on the belt and two rifles on the shoulders?

You never give someone a loaded gun. Ever. One of the most important rules of gun safety. And if you don't know them you have no business being near one anyway.

If someone wants to see my gun I'll give them the model number and they can look it up online or at their local gun shop. There is no need for me to put a potentially dangerous tool in someone else's hand while disarming myself at the same time.

We the people willing to be trained and open carry ARE The Militia.. Our Founding fathers realized that the strength of defenses doesn't just rely on the government ran military but the fact that even a Japanese emperial officer realized when he said that he would never invade the United States because there would be a gun behind every blade of grass... Now if you don't want to be a man and be willing to defend yourself and your own that's fine but to come on here week after week with your snide sarcasm and your obviously liberal left leaning views with never anything constructive to add other than just more sarcasm, that just show's that you aren't a real man and that you more closely resemble a trembling slave to the state who defends his masters.. Now go ahead and snide remark your way out of all that "TAD"

Right-o, K.B., just being snide. So, no passing it around. But it wouldn't be hard to take the clip out and clear the chamber,(hopefully already cleared). It would look cool, too.'Cause somebody's going to bring bullets to the show.

So... could it have barbeque?'Cause things would get really boring, after a while. Chitchatting about guns or women or baseball or... hatred of the lefties... could only last for so long.

Right-o, T.V., just being snide. Levity. Have you ever suffered it? The seriousness... it's quite serious with you.

Militias, though. I've got a gun. Just one. All I should need. And I think Uncle Sam's got it covered. Did you see Boston!? For one damn kid! I don't see an invasion happening anytime soon.

Levity. Good luck with the blood pressure, friends!

That would leave me unarmed which kinda goes against the whole point of carrying in the first place. And letting someone know I am carrying goes against the whole point of carrying concealed in the first place. I have respect for people who open carry, but I try to avoid it myself.

Right look at Boston... For all the 4th amendment violations that took place in the city's lockdown, it was an alert private home owner that alerted the authorities to the location of the person of interest in the bombings.. So you can take your snide remarks elsewhere because you are just yet another kool-aid mainstain media fed slave of the state who apologizes for when they violate the Constitution.

I was concerned about the 4th amendment issues. Early news sources basically said "if they don't open the door, police will find an alternate way in." But according to a couple individuals on Reddit who were supposedly there and got their doors knocked on, a simple "He isn't here, thanks anyway," was enough to get the cops to go to the next house.

Now, don't yall feel DuMb? You stocked up and paid jacked up prices for guns and ammo while listening to the FEAR MONGERING lies of NRA & Right Wing Survivalist NUTS? All backed by the 'Guns and Ammo Manufacturing Industry'. They moved every dusty piece of metal they had on shelves while having their factories in overdrive.

Everybody associated with guns and ammo,(thanks to the paranoid) have made more money this time round than any other time in their history of stirred up fear. They may be richer now than ever but WAIT, the next election is coming in 2014 and you can bet they're gearing up for that. It works like a charm, just use the same ole head games.... The Gun Shops in Irvine and Richmond will start running fear ads on the radio "the democrats are coming to take your guns away" and the republicans run to the Gun Stores and stock up! McConnell has already started, of course he votes 'no' on EVERYthing! So not surprising.

Let's don't forget, he made NATIONAL NEWS when he got so filibuster HaPPy he filibustered HIMSELF!

90% of America wanted 'universal background cks' that incidentally included 'NO' GUN REGISTRATION... with some sort of 'universal mental reporting' & to pursue gun traffickers as a Federal Offenders', BUT our 2 senators compliments of repub/tea party voted....NO...? They didn't care that KY polled in favor of, at 87%!

So did you happen to notice how those BOMBers in Boston had guns when only 'ONE' was a citizen & STILL had ammo when he was captured after NUMEROUS shoot outs with the police/our MALICIA.

The defeat of 'universal background cks' would have at least closed loop holes for Gun Shows. Instead it was a vote to 'legally' enable criminals to buy the SAME guns 'YOU' have and use them against 'YOU'. They may have to pay a little more for the privilege, but money means nothing to a man who thinks he's killing and dying for Alli.

The ad running now on TV with the man in the turban whose doing training for Al Qaeda is REAL, he's advising people to go to Gun Shows & buy weapons, and is the FBI's 'MOST' wanted man.

It was American citizens that ran and bought guns and ammo not just republicans!Criminals do not get background checks or do anything legally, hence the moniker "CRIMINAL".Take your stupid ass to the inner city of Chicago and ask to see their gun registration and background check,I am sure they would show you something.

The he guy in the turban 'is' the FBI's MOST wanted. He's telling his recruits to go to GUN SHOWS and buy guns FROM tables or trunks of cars who ARE not licensed Dealers...

20% of the illegal guns in Chicago are bought in Indiana by 'Straw Purchasers' who then bring them back and sell in the streets. The guy who buys them passes a background ck ok but they wouldn't.

I know guys here in Irvine who wouldn't take the time to go down and pick out a gun at the Gun Store because they wouldn't pass a background ck, SO THAT WORKS!

This bill would have closed Gun Show LOOP HOLES!!! Who in their right mind would be against that? The table that criminals buy from are priced higher than the Gun Stores for a reason so YOU wouldn't buy from that table anyway.

Internet trafficking is a PROBLEM! ANYBODY can buy ANY gun(s) and AMMO and have them sent right to their homes. The bill would have made their purchases go to Gun Stores, so they have a background ck run on the purchaser! It would cost NOTHING!

Texas is advertising right now to "come to Texas we have the MOST RELAXED GUN LAWS & RESTRICTIONS in the US"! Have you noticed all the killings & tragedies coming out of there right now?

ALL STATES are NOT enforcing the National laws!!!

AND I'll lay odds if you told me the truth, you 'ARE' a republican!

The Marshal Law did bother me more than a bit.
But what also gets me are the civilians we've decimated over-seas. No memorials there. We're not terrorists, though. Our explosives aren't quite improvised.
Black-hawk helicopters? Really?

Poor Lib... Never will be able to understand how people like you fail to understand that no law can ever prevent crime. No law has ever been established that protected everyone from being a victim. No Law has ever been written that was never broken. But alas.. Your answer will forever be to make more laws because you aren't going to be satisfied until every single freedom is taken, every right turned to state sponsored privilages, every transaction is a blessing of the authorities and people like you can finally rest knowing you will never be held responsible for your choices as long as you do as they say not as they do. I feel sorry for you.. I truely do because in the long run, you just might realize before your final breaths that you were a negative influence on anyone that gave you the time of day to listen and take to heart anything you had to say. For all your claims to be a caring human being, one of your last thoughts just might be that you were really a parasitic mole on the skin of humanity. I just hope you realize this soon in order to realize the err of your ways in order to take the remainder of your life to make amends for your transgressions on humanity. May God have mercy on your soul.

I understand going on a fishing expedition. Fishing in the same bucket for weeks without catching anything though...that's just the definition of insanity.

But what do I know? I'm just an out of work ex-con ex-military computer store owner who is 15 years old, in his late 50s, a draft dodger, and quite a few other things as long as I go with what others have claimed about me. So in that respect claiming Hippie is some tax preparer is tame.
