At least she is working, unlike many people around this county. There is no shame as to where you work, the only shame is when you get government assistance, and never hit a lick at nothing. Let all the working people keep you up.I am not talking about people that rightfully deserve assistance, just those that abuse the program. PS... I like the Dollar store.

And what kind of person does it make you to get on a website and talk trash about where someone works? I agree with 'so what' 100%! At least she is working and not sucking the government dry. I don't even know her but how dare you talk about someone that is earning an honest living? My goodness you sound like a third grader! GROW UP!

Well I don't know her but people change and we have all done and said things in our younger days that we regret and wish we could change. I don't think that anyone is the same person now that they were when they were sixteen. It's called growing up. Obviously you missed out on that part because you still act like a drama filled teenager.

if you did not know her you would not be on here talking shit about someone that you did not know. I will be glad to tell you; she is good people it don't matter how any of us thought we were too good to do something. things change people and so do people. I will say this you keep it up and I'm sure she will be glad to fill you in.

I think she is a nice lady and always nice to my children, that makes them like her very much too. Tells you a whole lot about a person if kids like them.

honestly i have known dixie for 10 years and yes she is a grouch, when you try to walk on her and treat her or others badly. so obviously if you're on here talking smack about her you don't know her. she is one of the greatest friends i have ever had. she was always there for me and my daughter when we needed her. her loyalty has never been forgotten.

unfortunately we have lost touch in the last year or so and we are very sorry to hear about the loss of her mother. we know how much she meant to her. we love you dixie!!! always will!!!

well in high school she did think and act like she was better than anyone else. that much is true! but nothing wrong with working at the dollar store no different than walmart. but she was rude when she was a teenager. guess she step down a notch or so. she was in trouble a few years back with loan companys or something. i go to the dollar store they are cheaper on things than walmart.

To those who took up for my mom: Thank You.
To the others: you are pathetic. Seriously, do you have nothing better to do with your life and your time than look down your nose at people whom you had a run-in with or dislike years and years ago from your days in high school. Are you kidding me?? Sometimes I love the fact that we have free speech....it allows for people to show how dumb and pathetic they really are. It's too bad technology allows for you to hide behind a computer screen and a screename.
If the "topix" is really that important to you and you want to have a discussion about it, why don't you post who you are?? lol. Why? because making a post like this shows you are either jealous, envious, you live way to much in the past, have nothing better to do with your time, or are trying to get back at someone for something. Revenge sometimes is sweet. But only a coward hides while they do it. You are a coward and I feel sorry for you.
AS FOR THE FACT THAT SHE WORKS AT A DOLLAR STORE:
Dixie is one of the most headstrong, strong-willed, hard-working good hearted people I know. She is also one of the SMARTEST I have ever met in my life. She may not have gone to college and she may be working at a dollar store but it is pitiful for you to really on that as an estimation of someone's character, will, success, or intelligence. Success in life can mean different things to many people, she may not have had the opportunity to go to college, finish school, or work toward a career, because she has worked hard for her family and done what (she thought) has been in the best interest for them and their futures!

She has focused on things that were important to her: working hard to earn a living and using that living to foster a families success. Might I add, she has done a wonderful job! And worked such long, hard hours in order to do so! I find it so sad that people like you get behind the computer and talk about "where she is now, a dollar store" like that is what measures a persons success in life. What a judgemental and material society we have today!

I wonder where you are at, how many children you have reared, what kind of financial decisions you have made, whether or not you went to college, etc. etc. etc. and what fuels your animosity that you must get on this site in order to attempt to defemate a person's character. And I feel so sorry for the evil judgement you pass on people. It shows you have a cruel, cold heart...and this doesn’t not make you an angel.

In addition, YOU OBVIOIUSLY DON'T KNOW HER THAT WELL IF YOU THINK SHE IS GOING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS POST. LOL. BECAUSE LET ME TELL YOU, DIXIE WISE DOESN'T GIVE A CRAP ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE THINK. IF YOU ARE GOOD TO HER AND HER FAMILY SHE WILL BE GOOD TO YOU AND IF YOU ARE NOT....Well, that is another story! haha

Dixie is confident and secure in herself: where she has been, where she is at, where she is going. And sure, maybe she made mistakes and poor decisions (like everyone else in this life). She is a little outspoken and brazen. She is not afraid to tell people what she thinks (and to the face, might I add) But she still walks with confidence and an attitude of security that I don't see in many people. And let me tell you what, if this confidence and attitude is what you call "looking down her nose" at people...maybe she did...and maybe she always will. And I am proud of her for it!

Confidence and security does not hide behind a computer screen and speak pathetic words behind a person's back. And for that, shame on you. Dixie Wise would NEVER say something about someone in cowardance like that. She would be up front and say it to your face. And so I will I. The fact that you discuss “looking down your nose and acting better than people” and also “her position at a dollar store” in the same post CRACK ME UP!!!! Are you not attempting to do the very thing TODAY that you are condeming her for in the PAST???
Your ignorance and the irony. It makes me laugh!
:D Haha thanks for my dose of daily humor,
