Yes, I agree, with you, I like strolling down memory lane, but not all the bashing other people...
Well, I could have put it a different way, "thick as thieves, kinda sounds "reckless"... which we were... now, we are just old moms.. hehehe. But always great great friends. I hope I didn't offend you. You know I love ya'!!
We had some great times...it's a wonder we didn't get in trouble at a young age...not that we done all that bad but we had some good times.

Bob Walker's murder. Jerry Carroll killing a Caldwell boy over a radio. Mart Mainous and Lena Henry drinking and driving a police cruiser around town.

Warehouse furniture. Bunt Gross in his heyday. His son in trouble. Dr. Wallace's son in trouble.

Ralph McClanahan and Donnie Watson swapping the judge's office.

At least River Drive had some nice looking foodmarts.
Puckett Ford.
Pool room where Mike Miller shot a man dead in his tracks.
1984-1988 Estill County had several bad murders.

Bob Walker's trial really hurt the image of this town.
Rumours of devil worshipping Janice Braverman the artist in residence.
The bridge painting fiasco in 1987 that tied up Irvine for hours.
Steve Garrett holding up a stop sign in front of the old middle school.
The back of the Haden's store fell out due to an explosion.
Pic Pac leaves Irvine. Sundry store and Cedar Village also leaves Irvine.
Mr. Dawes drove his Vega with campaign stickers all over his car.
Foodtown replacing Krogers.
Park where Estill Springs is now located.
The ill=starred Panacron factory that failed.
Bootlegging on Old Pike and American Legion.

Hell come to think of it, that is how my wife & I got together. I saw her & her friend a struttin their stuff, I pulled over, & the rest is history.

Hell back then I had a 69 Chevy low rider, damn did I love that truck. Sherwood system, 12 in pyle drivers, in MTX boxes, 150 or so of the best cassette tapes that you could possibly play.Three coats of limo tint, so no one could see in, especially the so called girl friends.Party all night & sleep all day. What a great time, I had a blast, I wouldn't change it for the world.

I love this thread too! Those were the days! Hanging out with my bf listening to ozzy or matalica. We thought we were something going to the show without our parents.lol Never forget us pulling off the side of the road and breaking in his old car to the tune of ozzy. Even to this day, I can't listen to ozzy without smiling and thinking back those days. Just for the record, he and I are still together.
