You cannot get it from kissing. Do some research. BLOOD TO BLOOD contact. Using with others, even if it's just the same water they dip their needle in. Having bloody sex or anal sex.

This is from a government website.

Who gets hepatitis C?
Anyone can get hepatitis C, but some people are at higher risk, including
* people who were born to a mother with hepatitis C
* people who have had more than one sex partner in the last 6 months or have a history of sexually transmitted disease
* people who had a blood transfusion or organ transplant before July 1992
* people with hemophilia who received blood products before 1987
* people who have used illegal injection drugs

How could I get hepatitis C?
You could get hepatitis C through contact with an infected personís blood.
You could get hepatitis C from
* being born to a mother with hepatitis C
* having sex with an infected person
* being tattooed or pierced with unsterilized tools that were used on an infected person
* getting an accidental needle stick with a needle that was used on an infected person
* using an infected personís razor or toothbrush
* sharing drug needles with an infected person
Drawing of a man handing a drug needle to another man.
You could get hepatitis C by sharing drug needles with an infected person.
You cannot get hepatitis C from
* shaking hands with an infected person
* hugging an infected person
* sitting next to an infected person
Getting it from saliva is pretty rare. However, if you have a cut in your mouth, that might facilitate the transmission of the disease.
I think the point here is to not share needles, etc. I left the link for reference. I hope that the people infected get treatment and the support that they need.

Hepatitis C is transmitted mainly by blood. This occurs through the sharing of equipment to inject drugs, needle stick injuries in health care workers, and unsafe techniques of body piercing and tattooing. Cocaine snorting is recognized increasingly as a potential mode of transmission through the sharing of contaminated straws.
Only a tiny quantity of virus is necessary for the virus to become established in the case of hepatitis C, and transmission usually occurs when the skin becomes contaminated by injecting paraphernalia, such as spoons, mixing tools, tourniquets, cotton buds or by hands. Razor blades and toothbrushes can become contaminated.

I tried to tell them blood to blood. But i didn't spell it out as nicely as you did. Thank you for clearing that up. I won't let my child share a tube of toothpaste with anyone for fear of hep. But I have read all pamplets and haven't seen many that warn you not to kiss people unless they have sores, and avoiding that should be common sense.

Come on people keep going i know that list is alot long don't stop now i think all the druggies need to be taken to one island and just drop them off give them food and water but let each one of them see how it feels to be done wrong let them see what they have done to all the hurt familys let them treat each other the way they have treated their families.when you look at it from the straight side its stupid they will steal from there own children to get high how sick is that all they r doing is growing up some just like them so take them away and let the good people grow up there kids so they have a chance and think about it if hep. is running that wild image what it is going to be like when your children is big enough to get out there.I PRAY THAT THINGS CHANGE FOR THE YOUNG!!!

Have you personally given these people you all have claimed to have hepatitis blood tests? If not stop writing things about peoples' lives you know nothing about. Grow up and get your own life, or stay dumb forever.
