Connie fired that one woman because she was having an affair with Micheal. The same one that used to work at cedar village and had an affair with there too. They still go to church together too. Thats hilarious. Can you imagine seeing that person everytime you go to church. Last I heard she was hot for the preacher. Her poor old idiot husband has no idea. Some people are so nasty as well as stupid. Hypocrites.

We used to go there all the time when it was Stevie's but since Michael took it over the prices have gone up and the service and food quality have gone down.

The last time we went there, they charged us almost $10 per person for 2 adults, full price for a 4 year old and $5 for a 2 year old. So, we paid almost $40 after taxes for a meal that would have cost about $25 at Ryan's buffet in Richmond and would have had much better food and more choices.

So much for supporting local businesses. Oh, and did I mention that the service was horrible?

When Stevie had it, the prices were reasonable and he was awesome to deal with. He made it a joy to eat there.

Two things:

1. Food prices haven't increased as much as the prices there have increased, especially since not all restaurants are as expensive as they are. It shouldn't cost $35 to eat at a crappy buffet in irvine/ravenna.

2. He started raising the prices right away after he got it.

I know he has some loyal supporters but after our experience, we won't be back there. Even factoring in the cost of gas it's much cheaper to go to Richmond and get much better food and service.

Almost two days after eating there I almost died, or it felt like it anyway. When I went to the hospital they said I had salmonella poisoning. I had to write down everthing I had eaten that weekend. That was the only place I had eaten that was outta the ordinary. Dad had taken me there for my birthday. I always make sure the food I cook at home is clean and fresh and well done. So it had to be Micheals. Thanks for the birthday dinner Dad. It was horrible.

My husband and I ate there a few weeks ago. The food was great, the place was clean, and the place was packed. They served absolutely the best smoked pulled pork we have ever had. My grandson was with us and didn't eat ( he had been feeling bad for a few days). They let me fix him a dinner from the buffet to take home and did NOT charge us. That's what I call amazing service. Regardless of bad reviews here we will still go there. I recommend this place to everyone.

No one should really complain about the price. We eat there all the time and for two adults, it's usually about $24. That's what it costs anywhere else, but McDonalds pretty much. I mean, yeah,$24 is a lot to pay, but look at what you get. It's a buffet with a salad bar, and the drink is included in the price. So,$12 per person for a full buffet with salad bar and drink is fairly reasonable in my opinion, and the service has always been excellent. Even Michael himself came around to different tables and asked how things were.

Michaels is probably the best food in Estill County. Those who think otherwise are entitled to thier opinion, but I'm entitled to mine, and I feel it's a good value for the money.
