economist was predicting unemployment to rise to 8.2% but it fell to 7.8% and the labor department says it takes 150,000 jobs added just to keep the number the same but only 114,000 jobs was added in September.
The Obama administration will lie, deny to win this election so watch out.

Unemployment is still outrageously high at 7.8 percent and $4.00 a gallon gas and going higher can't be tolerated.

Oh, shut up. Obama walked into the White House with an economy that was shedding 800,000 jobs per month. We've added jobs each month for the last two years, and unemployment has finally come in below 8%. Real Americans are rejoicing. Retardicans are devastated. Same sh!t, different day.

RUSH LIMBAUGH: It's the seven that matters, and the reason it does is that no incumbent president has ever been reelected with the unemployment rate over 8%. It's that simple.

The only reason if it did actually drop 3/10's of one percent was people taking low wage jobs the number of high paying manufacturing jobs dropped again last month and the u4 unemployment number is 7.8% the u6 number is almost 15%.

Huh. Why is it that when the figure is ABOVE 8%, retardicans accept it without question, but when it falls BELOW 8%, somebody's cooking the books? You people never fail to entertain. Don't ever change.

The books have been cooked all along....those who gave up on searching for jobs....not counting kids just out of high school if they haven't found a job yet....not counting those who have ran out of employment, etc.....!!!!!

Someone Democrat or Republican (I don't really care at this point)research the number of us that have just given up finding a job in September and are convenietly dropped from this 8% number. Both sides are guilty of this. If anyone blasts or totes this unemployment number should they not discuss the enormously larger number of dropouts as opposed to jobs created and include to this particular statistic. If one would include the workers dropped from the unemployment rolls from the last ten years because of frustration, no work, etc. the unemployment rate would be nearer 19% which happened under both parties with total control at one time or another. That's the truth.

Those long termed unemployed who exhausted their benefits are no longer counted and do represent a confirmed amount of people which makes the national rate over 11% and as high as 14% in many states. PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE Dems, don't remind us that the Government never counted those looking but not collecting. When you say that, it does sound idiotic. What you're not taking into account now is that those not collecting yet can't get re-employed are in the 10's of thousands each month added to the total. That growing total by the numbers has never happened in any past unemployment period in history. Welcome to 2012 and in 29 days, Obama will get a rude awakening that the reported 7.8% is ridiculous.

That by all accounts is the real data that the average American voter understands and will have that as part of their mindset in 29 days.

Jobs is a three-letter-word, according to Biden speaking about John McCain's economic policies at a US presidential election rally, October 2008 .

Are we so complacent now that 7.8 % unemployment is ok.

From 8% to 7.8 is not a major accomplishment and it just reflects that thousands have dropped out of the workforce and are relying on government assistance.
