So he taxed the crap out of cigarettes, to reap the benefits from the smokers, and now he wants to add insult to injury? Figures....

Obamacare is just one giant plan to make Americans under government control in many, many ways. The Liberal Democrats have put the icing on the cake with Obamacare. Our freedom to say how we live our lives is gone with Obamacare. It is the nail in the coffin to make America a socialist nation.

A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul.

Folks, the most insidious part of this whole health care scheme is that all of these vast medical expenditures will become nothing more than government budget items. We individuals will no longer exist. The relationship between a government and citizen will change forever.

Smokers will pay more, but as senior citizens they will receive less care and maybe no cancer treatments after they reach the age of seventy.

Oh, puh-leeze, don't quote Limbaugh. We've got plenty of stupid people right here, no need to drag that lardass druggie into it.

After 25 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser packed in her dermatology practice in 2011, barely a year after the passage of President Obama’s health care initiative. The timing wasn’t coincidental.
“I have interrupted practicing medicine because of Obamacare,” said Dr. Rosenwasser.“I’d read the bill. I was conversant with what had already happened with Medicaid, and I didn’t want to go down that road with Obamacare.”
The Affordable Care Act isn’t scheduled to be fully implemented until next year, but some doctors already are viewing it as dead on arrival. The medical rumor mill is abuzz with stories about physicians girding for Mr. Obama’s signature domestic policy achievement by limiting their exposure to Medicare and Medicaid, selling their practices, converting to fee-for-service approaches, or even retiring from medicine altogether.
“Every single day, people are talking about retiring early, getting out of clinical medicine, or going into hospital administration, where you don’t have to think about patient care anymore,” said Dr. Richard Armstrong, a Michigan surgeon and chief operating officer of Docs 4 Patient Care, which opposes the Affordable Care Act.

The American Medical Association supports Obamacare, along with many other physicians' organizations. Fact is, health care costs HAVE to come down. Fact is, Obamacare marks a shift toward basing payment for medical services on outcomes, not the current system, where the more tests and consults, the higher the bill that must be paid. We can't afford that anymore. Hundred dollar aspirins, $200 blankets, unnecessary tests designed to force you to help pay for a new piece of equipment, fees paid to everybody who stick their heads into your hospital room, all that is going away. Thank God. It's not as good as getting the insurance business completely out of health care, but it's a big improvement.

You mean like the insurance that raised my premiums and deductible this year? And what about the unfortunate people that get their hours cut by certain employers so they won't have supply them with insurance?

There may be some good in Obama Care, but some of it, not so much.
