I hope it works out because the alternative COULD have been to have Patriot as the county EMS service and that would not have worked because they are too worried about appearances to care about the quality and efficiency of their work. I don't know who got hired and who didn't, but I hope for the best because it is everyone's life being put on the line if this does not work.

I don't know why people get on here to bash other people. I worked for Dave and Vicki many years ago, before Patriot. They are both very good people and Lord knows Dave is a very good business man. They are good people. What surprises me the most is seeing how people want to down private ambulance services. No I don't work for a private service, but many of the same Medics and Emts that work for County services also work for private services part time. Whether or not anyone cares, all EMT's and Paramedics recieve the same training and take the same National Registry test to get their license. They also have to have the same amount of continuing education hours to recert and a physician has to sign off on their skills. I have respect for all of those in the medical field, as well as Fire and Law enforcement.

You are obviously a virgin when it comes to knowledge of Dave Rotter and his business antics. It's great you support him but you really have no idea what you are talking about. Did you know that the county itself had (not sure if they still do) a restraining order against Dave Rotter and his ambulances showing up on emergency scenes? Please tell me how that comes in to play if he is so wonderful?

I have no idea whether or not there is a restraining order against his service. I have known Dave for 12 years, I do know that he is very passionate about his job as a paramedic and the care that his patients receive. I believe that people in EMS are too concerned about the uniform they wear. We should all be in this line of work for the same reason, the care of the people. I have been a paramedic for many years and I have worked for both County providers and Private services. But regardless of the uniform I wear, I treat my patients with the same care. I didn't post on here to defend anyone or cause a problem. All I am saying is the Dave Rotter that I know is a good person and a dedicated paramedic.

You have seen them show up on 911 calls. Just recently the other day on the MVC on US 52. They actually brought many of their vehicles there. They were not called to assist nor were they needed. However, the point said HAD, not sure if they still do. I guess well see what happens after this last episode. Thank you very much!

Good for you. I'm not fighting with you. I don't care. I simply made a factual statement.
