Ex-deputy charged with sexual abuse

Newspapers are so irresponsible when they publish enough information that people can figure out the identity of sexual abuse (or possible sexual abuse) victims. In a small town like this people never forget things like that. I don't know any of the people involved, but this is a sad situation any way you cut it.

having an affair is far from raping a child this was a lie just to hurt people and it is wrong rape is not something people should scream just because they are mad. it is because of people like that that the ones that are really raped don't get the help they need

It isnt up to me to say if he's guilty or not. Either way this little girl is traumatized for life over this. Most molesters are very good at covering up. It if often someone that you would never suspect. Most will never admit to doing if even if caught in the act. There has been a new law enacted recently that will have stronger penalties for abusers who were entrusted with our children such as teachers, clergy, police etc. I don't think this case would fall under the new penalty being as he is the father and not only a police officer.

Placing the blame on his ex-wife isn't fair. In the end if he is guilty then he should be punishned. And NO the worst part is not if it ruins a name or not but think about the children.... that is the worst that they have to grow up and deal with this. I am hoping for the best outcome possible for the children and all the family involved!!

YOU are right assuming he's guilty.but if he isn't then the pain he will suffer will be the worst because it will be meaningless,the people that started it deserve to suffer if he isn't guilty.I think a new law needs to be made that if someone accuses someone of something and it is later proved they made it up,whatever the penality was if they had been convicted the accuser ought to be given that same sentence automaticly.There is a stigma that goes with being accused of a sex crime even if the person is not guilty,they may as well be,the public judges them and never forgets,but the victim is looked at with sympathy ,they get the benifit of the doubt.in certain cases as when it is black and white,the woman is beat all to peices,maybe stabed,brought in to the hospital and dna evidence is there to prove without a doubt this took place,thats one thing,but stuff such as this is not that easy.If you personally know this family you would maybe be able to say one way or another,but you didn't say,so i doubt if you do either.

Seriously does anyone ever really know what that kind of person is do they wear a label that says rapist no so before anyone says hes not that kind of person remember you really never know what goes on behind closed doors.
