It's true that their are a lot of bad renters, but, their are just as many bad landlords. Then bad renters make it bad for the good renters to find a good landlord especially if the renters have pets. A pet becomes a part of the family to good pet owners. Unfortunately, bad pet owners who allow their pets to tear up the landlords property makes it bad for the rest of us. Most landlords will always find a reason to keep your deposit. A lot will not fix anything unless it's something that if they don't fix will get them into trouble. Low incoming housing is just as bad. They are supposed to screen applicants for criminal charges and drug use. Someone isn't doing their job because that is all public housing is filled with. Anyone have an answer?

Well I would like to just post a comment in general to all landlords in the area. I am a married woman who has a medical career. My elderly in laws also live with my husband and I. We do have 2 cats, both fixed and litter trained. Now that I have given you my information, please tell me why my husband and I have had such a hard time finding a home to rent. We are willing to pay an increased deposit due to the animals but I do not think we should have to pay a larger rent amount. Now please give me your answers and please be respectful I simply asking a question. We might even be able to find a property to rent, you never know.

I have to say get rid of the cats it doesn't matter how liter trained they are in new places they always find a place to urinate ,and you cannot get rid of that smell no matter what you do i have 6 rental properties and would never ever rent to those with cats sorry but you wanted the truth.

That sounds just like my old landlord black mold carbon monoxide leave you with out heat for a free part for a weeks at a time with kids in the house. They really should revoke rights from these people. Problem is we often clean up after them because we know we are on our own.

Well when the cats are your only children then that's not possible. Also we have been in a different place and they didn't urinate in this one. I do understand your point but isn't that part of the reason for a security deposit.

The funny part is you dumbasses pay the rent! If you dont want to rent then buy a house. If you cant buy a house then pay the rent. Its a great gig for the landlords.... You all pay your rent with an SSI check and HUD.... Thats money in the bank for the landlord. You dumbasses are paying for the landlords home, car, vacations, etc. too. The landlords dont give a crap if the walls cave in as long as they get their money. I'm almost sure most of them would love for the walls to cave in, then if it does the insurance company will pay them big money... Enough to buy another rental.....I'm getting ready to buy some rentals. This is EASY money in the bank.... Bring on the HUD tenants!! Guaranteed money!!!

Bad land lord of the year goes to tasmainias Yvonne curtis. For renting out 314 strickland avenue south hobart. No fences chemicals leaking on grass. Not cleaned up and gassing tenant with noise maker in roof.

Don't rent from Tracy Simmons, owner of several properties in and around 19th Avenue in Lakewood, Colorado. She made our life hell. We moved out, left the place spotless and she refused to refund our deposit stating we "abandoned the property" Looking back, I almost wished we trashed the place. Total bitch.

GEORGE & JULIE DISNEY haha those ppl lmao what a joke my first month renting from them not knowing how she did things came up to my place of work because i was less than 12hrs behind on rent when i moved out i recieved NO SECURITY DEPOSIT which i worked my a$$ off for (the place was disgusting still have pics) nor did the 2 ppl before me get theirs either when i called her to tell her i didnt get the money i was owed she talked down to me like i was a p.o.s.

Paula Conley in CG leaves much to be desired. It's like pulling teeth to get things fixed and she does NOT want to give your damage deposit back. I lived in one of her places for several years. I had about 10 pictures through the entire place that stayed there for the entire time. When I moved out, she claimed that I destroyed the walls. No, lady. All those other holes are from your previous renters and you don't need 500 to cover nail holes. It could have been worse, I suppose.

I consider myself a good landlord. Its unfortunate that the good tenants cant find nice homes to live. I know when i first started renting properties to people, i always wanted my tenants to have a nice, safe, clean, comfortable home to raise a family in. Instead, i got people who lied to me, wouldn't pay the rent, moved in lots of other people, lived in filth, tore up my faucets, wouldn't mow grass, snuck in animals that pee, poop, and clawed up the walls, doors, and rugs. This is to mention a few of the problems. Yet all these issues and more are listed in our rental contract/agreement. Every person I've ever rented to agree to it, claims to be the perfect tenant, will follow all the rules, are the cleanest people in the world, and the homes are so beautiful they cant wait to move in and appreciate it. Over the years, it has made me not believe anything anybody tells me. Im so tired of fixing and cleaning things over and over. I end up paying the mortgage, insurance, and property taxes. So before you all keep bashing Landlords, try to remember its a two way street. But in the end, the tenant leaves loosing nothing, gaining a place to live for free for as long as they can swindle a landlord out of the space. Yet the Landlord is stuck with the mortgage, insurance, taxes, and all the damages you or your family and friends leave us. Why is it, the majority of our tenants gets mad at us, when they don't pay their rent, or abide by the contracts they agree to and sign when renting our property? Ive been attacked, cursed out, threatened, ignored, and a host of other things done to me for nothing more than asking for my rent money.
