This is bull. He is a poor excuse for a sherriff. A monkey could do a better job then this idiot. I for one didnt even vote on the sherriff yesterday. The people who voted for him last time are regretting it. The only people who even talk good about him is his family. Maybe at the next election we can get somebody to run thats worth a shit.

Well, you kind of said it yourself. If you didn't vote then how can you be upset? That's like the people who complain about things our president does, but they don't go out to vote for someone else. I didn't vote either, nor did I vote for him last run, but I'm happy that he got some of the dopers off the streets.

If you don't bother to vote you have no bitch!! He won, he's the sheriff, so now we support him until he loses the election. Pretty simple, if you don't like him get enough people that feel the same and get the votes to win and you've followed the process.

Well duh, how can you gripe at people for not voting? No one ran against him so there was no point. I for one, voted and wrote someone else in, even tho it will do no good. Hopefully after these 4 years, someone will run. i agree he is the worlds poorest excuse for a sheriff, but oh well. Nothing we can do now. He and his group of retards he has working for them. There is one deputy, Marcus, that seems like he is worth something. The rest need to just be let go. I give Marcus credit tho, for putting up with them and doing the best he can. Maybe he will run next time around.

well there ya go, you're figuring out the process!! Find yourself a candidate and get him to run, get the votes and WAMMO!! You have the sheriff YOU want!! My point to the original poster was that there's no sense crying the day after when you don't vote!! We have to come together as a community and support the winner no matter who it is!! He is the sheriff!!

The ones that think he is a bad sheriff are the ones that he weeded out of that place. Seems 900+ voted for him. That's saying something... Some of the dopers that they have busted actually worked... Well just saying!!!

That was due to the conveniently timed "Drug Roundup".

Just so you know. You do not have to be a cop to run for sheriff.

Anybody can run and will not have to go to the police academy.

I will run next time.

Remember to vote for, Rosco P. Coltrane next time around.

I'm afraid you are mistaken. A sheriff must attend a POST approved law enforcement academy within a year of taking office... Its law.

Before you say I am wrong. Look again at what I wrote.
Then look again at what YOU wrote.
Take hand off of peace pipe and think about what I wrote and think of how similar it is to what I wrote.

Dumb-ass.

Well you clearly didnt pay attention at election time. No one ran against him. He could have got 0 votes and he would still be sheriff. I did not see a wright in anywhere. if there was I would have put in the donkey before voting for Medley. Why vote for someone who i dont like. Who is gona be sheriff no matter how many votes he gets. I voted for everything else. But I didnt fill in on Medley cause I will never vote for him. The reason I posted this was because I was suprised nobody ran against him. I pray someone does in the next election, and get some real deputies. He likes getting people strait out of the acadamy. Theres no experience to back up the inexperience. You dont like what I say. Tuff

I agree with above. None of his deputies have any expierence what so ever. They are young and make mistake after mistake. i will say that just over 2000 ballots were cast in Iron County, and Roger only had 900 votes. THat should say something.

Guess its says a bunch about all the elected positions then huh? The most votes I seen in an unopposed position was around 1000.

No one ran against him and he got 900 votes, and there was 2000 ballots. That says alot about what the county thinks of him. I he was half the sheriff he thinks he is. He would have got alot more votes. We need a real sheriff. We need to get rid of a few inexpierenced deputies and get some experience in there. The big drug bust happened right around election time. He had to do something to get some votes. Why wasnt there a few drug busts after he got elected. In my opinion Roger is just like his deputies. He is scared. All he wants is to look like and play sheriff. He doesnt want to realy do the job
