Want to see how easy it is to blow your scam out of the water? Listen up, peeps!
If it was company policy, it would be in writing somewhere, but it isn't. If it was part of the company's rate schedule, it would be on the driver's rate card, but it's not.
Want more? Ok, let's talk zones - you know, the zones you scam artists use as an excuse. "But we gots to leave our zones!"
News Flash: Tops parking lot is not a zone!
The zones begin north of Riverside Cemetery and end at Beach Ave. They extend to the city boundaries. On the west, that would be Greece. On the east, it's Irondequoit.
That's it! There are no other taxi fare zones in the city! So if yo skanky butt be sattin in Tops parking lot on Lake Ave, you ain't gots to leave no zone, cuz yoz ain't in no zone!
One final nail in your coffin. From the City Docs:
"Except as specifically provided in this section, no minimum or flat rate shall be charged, or attempted to be charged, for any trip between two points within the City. These rules shall apply even though a portion of such trip may be outside the City."
A word of advice, folks. If the dispatcher mentions a $15 minimum charge to the suburbs, agree to it. If you don't, the lowlife mofos will leave you stranded. When you get to your destination, tell the goofball driving the cab to shut the damn meter off, otherwise they leave it running.
Pay the metered fare. There's nothing the driver can do about it. He be runnin' a scam, so it's not like he can call 911 or anything.
