After i was strangled and robbed, i was called into the police station by detective Steven Rosenbaum. He gave me the impression that he needed more info. about the man who did this to me, so i went to see him. Once i was there i realized he had another agenda, he had thought i had something to do w/ the robbery!! So after 6 hours of trying to convince this man i was innocent he wouldnt believe anything i was saying! Even the video tape of the robbery! Or the cashier who was w/ me, he said her say didnt matter b/c she was a "retard". He kept cursing at me and when i told him he couldnt do that he said "i just did". I was shocked, i realized this must have been a corrupt cop. He then said he was gonna just take me to jail, and if i didnt tell him "something" thats what was gonna happen! I didnt know what to do i was going to jail for something i would NEVER do!! So in order to not go to jail i just made up some fake story! I had no choice the man was gonna take me to jail! And it worked he believed my story, even though anybody w/ half a brain would not! But this detective just wanted to take the easy way out and i was it for him! He clearly didnt wanna do any detective work! If he would have he would of realized that i had to get directions from my boss on how to even get to this store, or the fact that ALL of the managers for this store had called in on THIS day! Or the fact that @ my original store didnt even take the store deposits, b/c it WAS too dangerous! Or furthermore,i would have to be a mind-reader to know which bank this store was using!! There were @ least four other banks in this plaza!! So in conclusion, if you want the real story, just ask! Thanks-Keri

How should i know? After the man strangled me I dropped the bag, and he picked it up and ran off down through the plaza. Two men cleaning the plaza saw him run by them, but didnt think anything of it! Even though the girl that was w/ me was screaming!

You know what makes me mad!! It was a "black" man who did this to me! So now, i dont trust any "black" men! Before this incident i had no problem w/ black men, i didnt associate w/ them. So now that a "black" man has done this to me, i certainly watch them more closely when they pass me!

Then at 9:48 p.m, also on October 20, officers responded to Culver Ridge Plaza, 2255 E. Ridge Road, for a report of a robbery. Keri Latona, 25, of Seager Street, Rochester, said she parked her car in front of a bank there about 9:43 p.m. and exited with a clear plastic bag containing $2,654.11 for a night deposit from a nearby store. She said she was grabbed around the throat from behind and told to hand over the money.

How unfortunate for you to have to live that way. But I can assure you that it is the same 20% of black men that are doing those crimes. Too bad there is never an officer around when you need them, yet we seem to shell out more of our tax dollars so that they can "serve and protect". It's more like being served coffee and protecting Tim Horton's.
Anywho, at least you still have your life, and hopefully your sanity. The next time someone tries to make you a victim, shove some fiery mace into their mouths and eyes. Better yet shove a 4" serrated blade into their gentital area. This is coming from a black man. GOD bless you, and be aware of your surrounding.

Hey Dewey,Take it easy on Tim Horton's.At least I feel safe there!!If this young lady is telling the truth (maybe--maybe not-I don't know)she should have said,I want a lawyer and than made a formal complaint about the officer.I think most people know that just by watching TV. At 25 years old she is no child. To the thug: Thank your lucky stars that it wasn't my wife, she has a carry permit and is a damn good shot and won't think twice to use it if she fears for her life (thats what kept me in line the last 37 yrs.--LOL) Take care and stay safe--- M/DOG

Oh yeah, as if criminals are going to commit a knife-point robbery within view of a cop in a car parked at the bank.

Did you just slander a Law Enforcement officer on a public website?
Not too bright.
6 hours and after one hour you didn't think to either get up and leave?(you weren't under arrest)
You didn't think to say you have nothing more to say and wanted a lawyer?
Is this "interview" on tape? If you now have a lawyer, then maybe he should look at it.

What kind of business puts thousands of dollars cash in a clear plastic bag? Why not have an opaque canvas bag that people can't see the contents of? And what was your "escort" or friend doing during the robbery? Who called 911, you or her. And when they ran off, why didn't you follow them in your car (I would've ran them over) to get description of their vehicle.

If you are telling it like it was I hope you win.Your lawyer knows that all interviews have to be recorded,if they didn't than they have a big problem and leave themselfs wide open for a lawsuit. If anything like this happens to you again (I hope not)DO NOT try to pull a knife,a perp can take it away from you and he (she) will use it on you.Only if you FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE than you have to do what you have to do to stay alive.Give up the money or anything else they want and let them leave.Money can be replaced--but your life can't. BTY: It wouldn't be a bad idea to carry pepper spray or mace, most have a range of 15 - 20ft. When you are in a parking lot or feel uneasy, keep your hand on it. The law in N.Y. is a bit grey about carrying mace but I don't think any cop or ADA would bring charges for it.Be smart and stay safe. M/DOG

Yes it should be on tape!! And the officer wouldnt let me leave!! Not even to go get my cell phone from my car!! And every time he left the room he locked the door behind him! The girl was in her car watching me, and i called 911, she said she couldnt push the buttons on her phone. When i called 911, the lady couldnt really understand what i was saying cause i was crying hysterically. I wanted to leave immediately from there, b/c i didnt feel safe being there! But the dispatcher told me i had to stay, until the officer showed up.
