Same guy?!

My husband and I were distraught to learn that this attempted burglary and stabbing took place a street away from our residence. Not only did it raise concern for the safety of our neighborhood, but it also reminded us of a late night walk we took roughly a week ago when we saw a young African-American man in a garage on N. Clinton. The lights in the home were all out, and only the garage was lit ... we just assumed that the young man was the home-owner doing some work in his garage. Now we're wondering if maybe this was the same person and the neighborhood has become a target for such crime.

You could confirm that by stopping by and knocking on the door of that house. It may have been the homeowner, maybe not.
Irondequoit is a target for crime because it is easily accessible from expressways and main through streets from the city. One could very efficiently arrive, commit the crime and leave.
