Not all sex offenders are threats to kids or had their incident involved with kids.
And why do they have to stay home until SUnday morning? WOuldn't it be better if they werent even home at all? Make them go out to dinner, movie, adult party or bar between 5 and 9 when most kids would be trick or treating.

Such absolutely silly drivel, both from the police and clueless parents. If knowledge is so critical, then know these facts: There are no more cases of child abuse on Halloween than there are on any other night. Most child molestations are perpetrated by those known to the child and his or her parents, such as relatives, friends, and clergy, not by strangers, mass hysteria engendered by the media notwithstanding. Recidivism rates by non-molestation ex-offenders are higher than those for REGISTERED sex offenders.

Any effort to keep convicted sex offenders away from children is effort well spent, always better to be safe than sorry.

With that logic, why don't we just keep all ex-offenders in prison, that way none of them can re-offend on the outside ever again. We could then order that all over the age of 12 be ordered in their homes for the three days leading up to and including Halloween, so that there would be no drunk drivers on the road to endanger any of the trick-or-treaters and considerably reduce the amount of potential vandalism perpetrated by kids over 12. The homeless could be rounded up and corralled in school gyms and National Guard armories. The police could then conduct house-to-house checks of all residences to confiscate any liquor, drugs, guns, knives (hey, forks, too), rolling pins, and the like to help reduce the potential for domestic violence during this time. We should probably confiscate all razor blades and laxatives, as well. While were at it, we should have safety inspections of all homes and apartments, insuring that all places where people live have the proper lighting and safe steps leading to their residences for the trick-or-treaters. Finally, all trick-or-treaters would have to be spray-painted with fluorescent paint and have blinking lights affixed to them so that none of the police and civil servants running around to insure their safety would run over the little beggars...

Better be afraid. Where I live, behind every tree is a man naked under a trenchcoat and in every driveway there's a rape van. People walk around handing out apples laced with date rape drugs. There's over 9000 penises and all of them are raping children.

I absolutly agree with Greene Ghost. Kids need to be more aware of Uncle Bubba the molester instead of instilling fear that there is a molester roaming around every corner. In addition, there are probally many upstanding people in the community ogling your child and there is nothing you can do about it. I have more of a concern on halloween about my child's teeth rotting, and sneaking candy.

All this Operation Halloween accomplished was giving parents a false sence of security all the while instiling fear of the what ifs. Police should be have been more focused on all the drunk drivers and shootings last night which is actually a bigger threat to our communitys children.

CHILD MOLESTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE CANDY OR NOTHING GOOD THANK GOD THEY ENFORCE IT THERE THERE ON SEX OFFENDER HERE OUT IN THE STREETS.
Roach, did you lose the punctuation keys on your board? Let's break down this run-on sentence. Maybe if you didn't type in all Caps shouting all the time and used a Cap to start a new sentence we could better understand your rant.

OK, so Sex Offenders (remember NOT ALL were child molestors) can't give candy or nothing good. Can they give crappy things out like coupons, ketchup packets from McDs, or Charlie Brown rocks? Or are you saying they can't give candy or ANYTHING at all. Then you comment on that by saying GOOD. And did you double enforce that with a Thank God. Or does Thank God start the next train of thought that someone enforces something? And what does God have to do with police/citizens enforcing law? Why not cut the middle men out and pray to God to NOT let there be any sex offenders.. might as well throw in murderers, assaulting thugs, and Republican Corporate Executives too.
Then it all falls apart from There There afterwards. Is one of them "They're"?
Let's assume it is, so they're on sex offender what... youre missing a noun.
Here out in the street - I thought they had to be INDOORS, not outdoor out in the street. Although if they were standing out in the street you could keep a better eye on them, who knows what they are doing behind closed doors and curtains or down in the basement.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aries

Someone wants to go their own way today and they won't care whose feathers they ruffle in the process. It's a lunar eclipse at the Full Moon in Cancer, so let them get on with it. The last thing you should do now is to hang on to their coat-tails or do anything else that will make them feel restricted. Make it plain that you've got your own fish to fry, thank you very much. And try not to let it stop you enjoying yourself. Have a great night!
