One of the key issues to drug related violence is young people's pregnancies. Dealers supporting family. Huge pregnancy issue in Rochester. Don't believe me? See all the kids at a crack house.

these youths are bored ...Ask any Black person ...

I'm so glad they are being allowed to receive Welfare for life ...

It's only fair .... They deserve it .

The Black churches just tow the line ...And do nothing for the community that has any lasting impact . More lip service ...

Rottonchester is cursed !

Not all black churches. The one on Flower street works directly with prisoners at County. Others have, like Community Lutheran on St Joe st has after school homework programs etc and get support from the churches in the area. I've gotten grants from national for them. The ghetto crescent has been a huge issue in Rochester for years.

I have been researching the black church's business model, and it looks very promising.

So I hire a pastor, and funnel everything through the church books for tax relief. We'll get grants and donations, which will go to new cars, flatscreen TVs, upgrading my wardrobe, gambling junkets -- and other stuff that will benefit the "church".

Bless you all.

You idiots can't have it both ways.......in one breath you say the drug dealers are supporting families.
And in another breath you say there are no fathers providing financial support.
Stick to one myth and run with it.....

FYI to you and the other dumbarse racists......
The Welfare Reform Act of 1996 limited the amount of time a person could be on Welfare to FIVE years over the course of their entire lifetime.

The whole reason it is now called "Temporary Assistance"!

I'm sure there is all kinds of crazy bad, book stuff going on in all denominations. I agree with you. It is also a dilemma you bring up. Don't buy new cars, flat screens, or style clothing. YET it is NOT expected that the good Reverend drives a junker, buys their suits at Goodwill, and lives at the Elk Hotel downtown. "Keep 'em poor and humble" doesn't work well for churches' expectations.

States can also extend assistance of up to 20% of their case load. They can also go beyond 5 years using state only funds and SSB Grants. People can also stay on Section 8 for their whole life( it is also welfare). Don't forget about the SNAP cards either(also a form of welfare).

Read this real life story, idiot.

NYCHA moves to evict 100-year-old woman from Lower East Side housing project

Concetta Passione, who says she has lived in Rutgers Houses since 1964, was served an eviction notice for 'breach of rules.' The Housing Authority believes Passione secretly lives in Italy while her 73-year-old son unlawfully resides in her apartment
