Goodness me CC,who made you the boss of Topix? Seems like you are upset about something, want to tell us what it is? Now don't be sitting there doing the chicken neck thing and calling the ACLU,NAACP,Sharpton,Jackson,EC T screaming that you can't tell "whitey" where they can post or what they can say,O.K.? I'm just trying to help you out here,I don't want to see you have a meltdown and end up in a padded room sister just because you can't get your way. BUT,and you always know there will be a but when you pull the "card",why did you and the rest of the "crew" have to start with the "baiting" and slurs on this thread when no one else was doing anything but talking about their gardens? I know,I know,it is in your DNA,isn't it troll? Now be a good little troll,go start another thread where you can ply your trade to the losers that follow you.Again, just looking out for you. Just saying.

Attention CC this is my thread not some lynch mob thread. I made it because I like to grow food and share my experience and bounty.I would like ANYONE who has an interest in it to comment and share. I would really like it if you could be involved as well. That was another reason for it. I thought it might be a topic that many of dissimilar opinions could put aside the bickering and find a similar interest.

Clearly they can't comment on anything that doesn't involve race. I agree with PP for intervening. We shouldn't have to sit back and listen to her crap on your thread or any other thread she starts to try and racebait on. Enough of that!

My six pack tomatoes are getting so big in the carton in the kitchen window that I hope I can seperate the roots without doing too much damage. They are like 18 inches tall!

I would just like it if when she or anyone does that,we go to one of their threads to respond. If not for the sake of keeping this thread from becomeing convoluted and of topic. Plus, I always like a little "Eye for an eye".

So, tell me. When you plant, do you bury the whole stem or just the root ball.I pull all but the top leaves and bury the stem to allow it to go to root.I once had a 2 ft. seedling that I snaked across the ground and had what looked like 3 plants but was really all one plant coming out in three places.

What relevance do they have to whatever your point is.One was a comment about how the RHON-OPS uses the icons to negatively judge anyone she does not like regardless of the topic, comment,or thread. The other was someone else making a joke about compost making him hungry.Sooooo what?

I'm merely trying to engage you in the topic being discussed. I never said I know anything about you. I only admitted to a gut feeling. For whatever reason based on some of your comments I did assume your one who likes dainty and pretty things, so I asked. Thats how we learn about each other.Anyways you say you have a green thumb.I would like to learn what kind of planting you do and what your plans are this year.

Only the root ball. But I eventually take the lower leaves off. Depends on where it flowers. They will/do have plenty of roots already. I don't want them to get too leggy, but in the end it's only the flowering that matters. I also cage and stake them.

I like mine real bushy as opposed to viney. That's why I bury the seedling stem. It also gets the roots down real deep so when I go away on trips during the summer they are a little more drought tolerant as they can pull the deeper moisture. This benefit would be lost in a container though.
If anyone is interested I will be going to Tryon and Ellison Parks tomorrow to search for signs of morels. The recent rain should have them popping up. I had limited success this weekend on a trip to the North Country. If anyone wants just leave a post and I will give a time frame come to the parks with an old pillow case or basket and look for a bearded coot with a sack picking at the ground away from the trails.

I don't blame you on that.My family has picked them for generations. I grew up identifying them and have even gone to a couple of classes about them by the Cornell Cooperative extension. Identifying morels from there poisonous look alikes is fairly easy. This is also true for puffballs. Just don't make assumptions learn from qualified individuals. Not only are morels good for your table they are quite profitable to sell to buyers as the are not grown commercially. If you buy them from a store they very likely came from somewhere near you. Picked by a hillbilly, redneck or hippie.

I dont think any Feral Hogs have been reported in Monroe Cty yet.
But plenty in the Champlain Valley in Clinton Cty as well as the Onondaga, Cortland, & Tioga Ctys swath. And Sullivan / Delaware Ctys west of the Catskills.
A 300 lbs boar was shot near Peru, Clinton Cty.
None around Rochester area yet. To hell with the people responsible for introducing them. Fenced in hunting preserves(Real hunters don't pay others to hunt inside a cage),irresponsible hog farmers who let their stock escape, and jerk-off so-called outdoorsman who let them go because they want something else to hunt.
