Who comes up with this stuff?
Is this really going to help stop dwi??
A rich white person doesn't care about paying a stupid Ambulance fee. Drunk drivers with insurance will just have their insurance pay for it.
And how many drunk drivers even take an Ambulance??
Did Megan Merkle and her BF take an ambulance???

How about making the drunk pay for the ambulance of their victims? Or maybe pay for the victims funeral???

The NY Legislature is passing one feel-good law after another. This one, don't annoy cops, SAFE act etc.

How about doing what Scandinavian countries do: jail time for your first offense, five (5) years for your second (with no death involved).

It slashed their DWI's to almost nothing, and saved a ton of lives.

NY Legislature produces junk laws constantly.
