RG&E costumers in Sodus had lost power

RG&E costumers in Sodus and other areas did not (and some still don't) have electricity. But I found out all of the NYSEG costumers didn't lose power. Why does my family have to use RG&E, we went to Palmyra, Macedon, Newark, Lyons, THEY ALL HAD power and YNN says that storm knocked out power. Guess what not EVERYONE has RG&E because that's who DID lose power. NYSEG people did not, my friend in Palmyra had power all weekend and my sister in marion (yes marion) had power too all have NYSEG. going to ask if we can get NYSEG now since we lost nearly 2 days of power.

My parents have NYSEG and they live just outside of Lyons and they have not lost power at all since Sandy hit.(and they only had it out for a few hours while workers fixed the power lines). Friends of mine towards Phelps (yes i know it's a different county but still) have RG&E and they were able to get NYSEG and only get power outages when there's a huge storm (such as Sandy). But with RG&E any thunderstorm with on and off rain could knock off power for miles.

Yes RG&E and NYSEG are "too" separate power companies, but Iberdrola still is thei parent company.
