Has anyone or thousands gone postal against Microsoft yet? Would not be surprised if they did. This piece of crap of a system is getting returned.
I hope this retarded system has caused irreparable damage o Microsoft corp.
Total GARBAGE.

Win 8... or 8.1 now... works flawlessly, is robust, never crashes and has excellent security features. I have upgraded three machines at home to Win 8.1, did I mention great networking tools.

Another Mac fanboy denigrating a great Operating System.

Windows 8 is the worst piece of garbage ever inflicted upon the PC world. Everyone who had anything to do with its creation at Microsoft needs to be fired. It is, bar none, the most unintuitive "operating system" ever conceived of. As if that weren't enough, it is compatible with virtually nothing.

Any time I am in a store and see people looking at computers I ask them if they know how bad windows 8 is. Most of the time they thank meand say they will investigate and put off buying as long as they can.
I tell everyone to just do a little google research on how bad windows 8 and 8.1 are and is disliked by most.
I know several older people who hae all but given up on computers because of windows 8

Windows 8.1 with the settings of boot to desktop is not half bad. There are numerous utilities that bring back the Start Button and menu. You can make it look like Windows 7 with little effort. BTW MS has announced a SP1 this Spring that will do the above.

To little to late. Windows 8 is garbage. We should not have to read a thick book to figure it out. I had my old lap top fixed up cleaned up by a proffesional and was luck to sell the new piece of garbage.Everyone is not a computer wizard.. I will be very carefull and really investigate before I ever buy another microsoft product. Sorry but I have been a good customer of microsoft for 20 years and feel like I have been screwd big time.

You're out of your mind. Windows * is the corniest most annoying system ever. The metro is pointless and retarded, the charms bars are always getting in the way. It is incredibly bloated... All the so-called great new features are just gimmiky toys with little to no value. Windows was always bad but Windows 8 is embarassing. Linux all the way.

This is not something someone says about a good operating system. It's on par with saying " It's a good model of car once you rebuild the engine."

I am not talking about rebuilding the engine, a couple of setting adjustments after 8.1 upgrade and a 5 minute running of a utility and you are done. Once SP1 is released this Spring most of the complaints will be addressed. I am not defending MS, they realized their mistake and are correcting it. Remember all the bitch'n when Vista was first released. Now that was really a problem OS.

Since I do not know how to "reach" to the truly idiotic geeks at Microsoft who are causing Microsoft to put out products as abysmal as Windows 8, I hope to use symbols to communicate with them.

The Microsoft Refrigerator

New from Microsoft is the Microsoft refrigerator. When it arrives, you'll notice that the door to the refrigerator has no handle. Nor does it have any signs or notes telling you from which direction the door opens, or how to open it.

This feature is brought to you by the genius who conceived of "charms" hidden in Windows 8, to ensure that you will curse at least once while trying to figure out how to shut down your laptop or desktop for the first time.

To cause the refrigerator to first get cold, and before you can store anything inside of it, you must first call Microsoft, register the refrigerator with them, and open a video-account with them, so Microsoft can see everything you place inside your refrigerator at any time.

This feature is brought to you by the dweeb who thought it was a good idea to require you to register with Microsoft, just to be able to use a computer which has the windows 8 operating system.

Once your video-registry for your refrigerator is complete, you can open the door, and once you do, an arm will automatically extend out to you with a ham sandwich, and the door will then close.

It doesn't matter that you wanted to eat something other than a ham sandwich, because Microsoft has decided that since you’ve eaten a ham sandwich in the past, that's what you will eat now.

This feature is brought to you by the imbecile who created the auto-formating features in Microsoft Word which make it virtually impossible for users to simply set-up documents they way they want to, but instead are forced to fight with Word, every time they have the audacity to indent something and thereafter proceed to try to start a new paragraph.

I could go on, but I hope perhaps, the next time one of the idiots at Microsoft come up with another one of these truly moronic ideas, they may ask themselves, would I want this feature on my refrigerator?

If you are so smart with computers, how do you change the ip address. topix is blockink my neighbor and I have never seen a post of his that should be blocked or a reason to be band.
Turning off the modem overnight has not worked.
We will await your brilliant answer. Keep in mind we are not computer experts like you.

When you ask for tech support, maybe you shouldn't be a d ick.

The ISP changes the IP address, not the operating system. But keep turning off the modem, let it cool down and turn it on real fast. Do this three times over a three day interval. Problem solved. That's the secret reset code.

Failed to mention, this will not work with Win 98. Is a 1200 or 2400 baud modem? Call CompuServe tech support, they'll walk you through it. It's 800-222-STFU.

In order to renew an IP address, go to Start, then Run and type in CMD to open a new command prompt window.

Windows 8 is so tarded how do you even find start and run?

No, some users are so 'tarded that shouldn't be using it. Very powerful for normal people. Stop blaming a system you can't comprehend. Glad we could solve your problem. Just watch TV.
