Rukavina to make run for governor

Democrat Tom Rukavina on Monday stressed a need to educate workers and create jobs as he formally announced his run for Minnesota governor in 2010.

If he promises to repeal all the statewide (The Freedom To Whine Act), county and city smoking bans and the Health Impact Tax, I'll vote for him. Call it the "Musicians Stimulus Package" as it will help fill the bars (and restaurants) back up again and put struggling bands back to work.

20% of the vote Rep. Rukavina, that's nothing to sneeze at, even more so when you add in our non-smoking friends who don't agree with the bans or tax either.

A good man who will get trampled in the pre-primary mess and catastrophe of MN politics.

Save your time and money, do you thing in the Legislature, Rep. Rukavina. The political gunfight for governor will be bloody and messy. It won't be pretty.

We need good leadership from both parties in the Legislature to help this state. I truly think you are more effective from where you have served us well.

I don't always agree with you but you are true blue for your constituency and Minnesota. To run for governor in this state's political climate is committing political suicide. It's too bad that good decent folks who served MN well will get gunned down in political infighting!

Most of the candidates running are going to deserve what they get.
