well lets see they work everywhere but in covington va..........so lets put the blame out..........management for not working it out like it is everywhere else in the world..........Recovery at the mill that seems to be highly union motivated but also padded their pockets on the money side..........carbon who if im not wrong was told after the vote this is what we are gonna do to your department..........so that is firmly on the company..........and the great union we have that said one thing today then after the second and 3rd call changed the story..........way to go..........IDIOTS ..........ALL AROUND US>>>>>>> >>>>>lol

i been at the mill for a long time. these 12's are so much better than 8's. I get to spend time my kids 14 days a month instead of 7. I only have to hire a babysitter 14 days a month. I only have to drive to the hell hole 14 days a month. My money hasnt changed while working only 14 days a month. a week off every month to hunt, fish, take family vacations, take on big projects like building a house, or whatever! COMMON SENSE! as for the "union", cpu couldnt beat there selves out of wet paper bags. much less take on mwv. an 800,000 people strong union with money backing struggled to get what we had. whats 300-400 people going to do? nothing but cost us everything we've worked for over the years. if you want 8 hour shifts, you obviously have no life, no family, and dont give a shit about anyone else. at a bare minimum, we should be allowed to finish the one year trial that we have all determined our vacations from.

Guys, these 12 hour shifts were killing some of us. I hope it's officially over. I don't mind a 8 hour shift. 12 is too much.
u r lazy

How is working 12 hours killing you? A lot of places do it! Plus you lazy bastards got 7 days off in a row! If you don't want to work, then quit and let them hire someone else!

Make maintenance go back to working 8 hour shifts. How many times do they "rob" the company from working over 16 hours? All the freakin time. If production is getting punished, why is maintenance getting away with it?

I just wish people would be thankful they have a job. Always someone wanting to complain . If you do not like 8s start job hunting. The company made their decision leave it be.

If CPU wont do anything to help out there members i know i will be opting out from cpu along with others!! Just cause the head of cpu dont want them dosent. The majority of union members wanted it!! The vote was taken and now its up to them to help us out!! The problem departments should of been put back on 8's as a punishment for trying to screw the system!! You know who u are the ones that always want more overtime and try ur damnedest to go over 16 to get time and a half for the whole thing!!! If the company wants to rid of that problem either implement a more strict policy absence policy or for people laying out in groups to get their buddies overtime be delt with!! 14 days off a month with my family is a ton better than the other 7 days off!! So buck up CPU dont be a push over like you always will be or me and a ton others will be leaving you!!

If you don't work at mwv it none of you peoples business. If anyone is to blame for the 12 hour shifts not working out it is the supervision of a few departments that allowed its employees to take advantage of working over 16. Those departsments should be put back to 8s and leave the others to work the 12s. No but everyone will be punished for a few like always. I'm happy to have my job and will make the best of whatever shifts I work but the 12s are great.

Are you active or do you just pay dues. Don't just sit back and hope that things get done the way you want. Production greatly outnumbers maintenance, so there is no reason for you not to get your voice heard unless your just bitxhing here on the shadows. Running back to USW will do nothing but keep us divided.
