Modern society's continued expansion on stupidity never ceases to amaze me. As if cell phone use was not treacherous enough, attempting to use a laptop computer while one is supposed to be driving a vehicle is no less than absurd! The world seems to have reached a new depth of idiocy!

Distracted drivers cause more than 1.5 million crashes a year -- but many people still use cell phones, BlackBerrys, computers, and navigation systems while behind the wheel. In some cases, victims have sued employers, resulting in judgments in the millions of dollars.

It need not be a driving for business situation. If a vehicle crash causes injury or death... the driver, the owner of the vehicle, etc. etc. etc. can, and likely WILL, be sued! Rightly so! It would be horrific for a serious injury or death to occur simply because someone was so irresponsible as to be "playing with their gadgets" while behind the wheel.

Appalled, I am with you.

I think the most scariest situation I saw, was this young lady attempting to park her car while juggling 2 cell phones and a baby bottle. ALL OF THIS WAS WITH AN INFANT THE FRONT SEAT! TOTAL FECES FOR BRAINS!(must have been a Britney Spears wannabe)

Thank goodness law enforcement showed up as I am sure others walking on the sidewalk used their cell phone to call 911.
