And all I was saying is that he/she should have more important things occupying their time right now other than people discussing which direction a vehicle was driving. Why is THAT so difficult for you to get through your thick little skull, dimwit? How dare you even try to tell me what I should or shouldn't write on here? If I said something truly offensive I'm sure a board moderator (click the "report abuse" url) would remove all offending posts.
And to answer your hypothetical, if something this awful were to happen to a family member of mine, the absolute last place I would be is on the S&E Topix forum calling people idiots because they're discussing a fact that a reporter got wrong. I think I would be doing the right thing and consoling my family, or offering comfort, or helping out where I could. But not monitoring what people are posting on a website.
And if what's being written is really that awful, stay the hell away from the website. Unless there is a masochistic urge to reaad the bad things people have to say.
Wow you really must be a loser to sit and write something so hurtful to these poor peoples family members. You must enjoy hurting people and in some sick way crave the attention that you obviously never have got as a child gee i can't imagine why a "nice guy" like you wouldn't get attention.
To everyone one else reading this ignore this butt hole i don't think it's aspecial day i think he's always an A HOLE!!!! My thoughts and prayers go out to both familes.

Thank you for your kind comments. My son-in law was the driver of the truck. He is a wonderful husband and a great father and provider. I have been to the hospital to be with his family.I live over 60 miles from the hospital and will go to see him often, but when I am at home I like to read about the nice things that people have to say about him . Not the comments that some of the useless jerks on here write, because they have no life.
To to hear about your son in law.My prayers are with you and your family.

Dexter was a close friend of our family.
I was sent a message this morning by the families closest to Dexter and I have to say I am appalled at earlier comments. I know when a tragedy occurs, people like to comment and speculate. But when it comes to putting something so disgusting in writing you should really think twice.
Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe the family and friends of this wonderful man who died were on here looking to see if anyone who was there could give them better insight to what his final moments were like. Was he alone when he died? Was in he in pain? Was he afraid? These are questions we all have and pray that the answer was no to all of them.
Please be kind in your comments and assumptions. Not just with this article but with future ones as well.
My heart goes out to the Talcott family.
Dexter was a kind man with a heart bigger than most I know. There are so many peoples lives that he touched in the most positive way and we were all blessed to have known him. My daughter and I will miss him greatly and he will never be forgotten.

does anyone know if the Therrien family is in Maine. We were neighbors in the 70's. Our children went to school together with Dexter. Thanks

Rest assured his final moments were spent with a wonderful and caring person-Amy from the Central Mass Garden Center is actually in training to be a nurse, and is incredibly kind to those in need.

Hi to Paula and thank you all who had kind words about Dexter. He was a gentle person, hero to his neice & nephew. We are grief struck at the loss of our beloved son, and shocked by the careless remarks by those who have never met him. Special thanks to Amy who stayed by my son's side, wish you the best in your nursing future. Our prayers go out to the Talcott Family.
