Bridge to give Rodeo Palms residents options

we need county rd 58 to open up to the side of our neighborhood so that our commute is more efficient out of here.

I remember when that subdivision first opened and they had the small lane in the median where drivers could turn left (North) on hwy 288 out of Rodeo Palms. What a pain for you guys to have to only turn right and make a 180 on Hwy 6 to North. I think they should either construct another turn into the grass and install the yellow flashing lights ie. Iowa colony a litrtle further south. Or they should construct a "U" turn lane at Hwy 6 so you don't have to wait for the lights. That would cut down commuting time by a few minutes.

They are working on Rodeo Dr opening up to CR 58. I think the bridge over a canal back there is what's holding it up. I can't wait for that to finish and see 5min saved as we commute to Houston. But then CR 58 will have to be dualized to avoid wrecks.

Thank you for the informations. I live in Rodeo Dr. and worked downtown and this will be an easy access from my home.

As far as Zarec comments below "dumbest sub name ever" maybe he should see the sub for himself and maybe he can see what a beautiful subdivision this is.

I am a resident of Rodeo Palms and I think the subdivision is beautiful. However I agree for those of us whom travel back to Houston would like to a easier way to go that direction. I feel we need to open the crossing back up, that allowed drivers to turn left (North) on hwy 288 out of Rodeo Palms. As for as the Neighboorhood entrance screaming "We are white trash with money!" I highly disagree. Sounds like some jealousy. What does your subdivision scream?

I purchased in Rodeo Palms over a year ago and we enjoy the neighborhood. Having to drive south to highway 6 to make a turn around to go north on 288 is a pain. Also, we are seeing an increase in the number of homes for sale in the community - no foreclosures yet.

yah well, i live in manvel. and rodeo palms was built in wrong spot at the wrong time. should have been develpoed in pearland.

And the turn around that people are posting isn't that bad.

how can 1 min. of your drive time make it so bad for you guys to write about it.

afterall you guys at rodeo palms stole manvel's ems department.

think about it, if the ems moved over there, it can't be that much of an issue. for the ambulance to make that drive back to manvel and save my life!

The access road to CR58 is complete and it makes the commute much easier. I love living in Rodeo Palms. It's just far enough out of Houston to feel safe and close enough for entertainment and work. Now all the neighborhood needs is a tennis court. It would be nice if the entrance to CR58 was manicured a bit as well.

Well your apparent attitude screams "I'm someone who obviously can't afford to live there and am very jealous..." Oh, and BTW: the entrance is that elaborate b/c the land was originally supposed to be a golf course and was turned into a subdivision when funding ran out a number of years ago...

Why are there so many homes for sale and foreclosures in Rodeo Palms? Every other house has a For Sale sign in front of it?
