Which is why the 12 panel reform board is denying them for seniors over 70. The money is needed to pay for Sandra Flukes and other abled bodied adults birth control pills, condoms and abortions.. Who knew pregnancy was a disease.. I found it was preventable. Unfortunately , seniors and the disabled aren't able to prevent the need for knee replacement . Unfortunately, OBAMA has thrown you under the bus. That is why he is taking money out of the already struggling programs of social security and Medicare and using it to take care of able bodied adults. Get OBAMA, IRS and the Government out from between me and my Dr. Not even your medical records will be private or protected. The government will have access to all your medical records!! I am voting ROMNEY AND RYAN !! At least they give me choices and nothing changes for those 55 and older!! I will always spend my money more wisely then the greedy Government!

Under the Republican Bush Sr Presidency (former CEO Eli Lilly) massive mind drugging for political reasons took place of the public while the establishment of the mental health industry took place in securing the school system with bogus, made to order mind diseases for treatment with toxic mind drugs killing thousands of persons. Considering the mental health industry has no science , no medical model, no evidence based medicine and with knowledge that the mental health industry (APA) admitted to lying about testing for chemical imbalance when there is no such test available. The industry was based on hearsay with political intent for the new world order that caused great deals of medical problems to people including children.

During the Bush Sr presidency millions of young girls were operated on for a trick knee. something the the young girl would have outgrown had parents not been lied to about the condition that caused not only unsightly scars but in many case left the young child limping for life. Money is money in the Republican capitalist game of medical care

Obama’s Preemption Memo: Limiting Regulatory Preemption of State Common Law Claims By Matt Melamed, Public Justice Kazan-Wallace Fellow

snip:

On May 20, 2009, President Obama reversed one of the most nefarious practices of the Bush administration by issuing a memorandum (Preemption Memo) aimed at curbing federal preemption by regulatory fiat.

With the Preemption Memo, the President made clear his intent to limit federal agencies’ efforts to preempt state law claims merely by declaring that they would conflict with federal regulatory purposes. This position represents a radical shift from that taken by the Bush administration, which aggressively encouraged federal agencies to seek to preempt state tort law in precisely that fashion..

The Bush Administration’s Stealth Tort

snip:

The intention behind this and other Bush-era preemption preambles is clear: by attempting to strip consumers of their rights to sue, the Bush administration was pandering to the business community, which seeks at all costs to immunize itself from tort liability. Indeed, Bush administration officials had an unusually close relationship with the industries they regulated.

Historic Precedent

In the momentous article "Medical Science Under Dictator-ship," Dr. Leo Alexander, the chief U.S. medical consultant at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials, examined "the process by which the German medical profession became a willing and unquestioning collaborator with the Nazis." He noted the early changes in medical attitudes that predisposed German physicians to first collect data on their patients to conduct what today we call "cost-effective analysis," and then to use the latter information as a vehicle to commit medical genocide under the auspices of the totalitarianism of National Socialism. Dr. Alexander warns us that "from small beginnings" the values of an entire society may be subverted, leading to the horrors of a police state. The "small beginnings" in Nazi Germany that Dr. Alexander referred to first led the physicians to collect data from their patients and then violate their patients' privacy and medical record confidentiality by supplying the information to the state.(6) Organizations with humanitarian-sounding names were set up in Nazi Germany to institute "health" programs, under deceptive, euphemistic terms. For example, questionnaires collected by a "Realm's Work Committee of Institutions for Cure and Care" gathered and reported information on patients who had been ill five years or more and who were unable to work. "On the basis of name, race, marital status, nationality, next of kin, whether regularly visited and by whom, who bore financial responsibility, and so forth," decisions were ultimately made for the patient euthanasia program heralded by the Nazi government for the good of the state and the "health of the nation." The first steps taken toward barbarism were the result of the physicians' willingness to participate in patient data collection and the violation of medical privacy. "Corrosion," as Dr. Alexander wrote, "begins in microscopic proportions." German physicians were, more than any other profession, heavily represented in the Nazi Party, which they joined in droves. German psychiatrists were no exception, and they also enthusiastically supported Nazi Germany's gun control laws of 1938 that disarmed the civilian population and left a monopoly of force in the hands of the German military and the SS. The rest, as we say, is history.

AMA Becomes Political

As to the commitment of the AMA to weakening medical privacy and individual-based ethics in favor of population-based ethics and achieve a partnership with government, there is no longer any doubt.(7,8) In the case of the American Psychiatric Association, one only has to peruse its position statement on homicide prevention and gun control promulgated by its leadership as early as 1993: "In view of the need to reinforce individual and group sanctions against the use of violence as a social instrument, behavioral mode, or adaptorional [sic] pattern, as psychiatrists have done with drug abuse, suicidal actions, and antisocial behavior, the American Psychiatric Association recommends that strong controls be placed on the availability of all types of firearms to private citizens."(9) Why would the AMA and organized medicine become involved in this politically expedient but potentially explosive issue of gun control and condone the systematic violation of the privacy of vulnerable patients?

When the public becomes aware of the Republican politics of mind drugs on children and the long term political intent as non voting couch potatoes in their adult years or the prescribing of Statin drugs causing memory loss and muscle atrophy to all ages and then they examine State voting districts and combine that with political affiliations and the dirty Republican deals on our democracy there will be hell to pay.

MEDICARE equals reimbursement. MEDICARE equals even more reimbursement on a procedure than rehab, nutrition and lifestyle changes. GERIATRIC medicine pffftt-based on grand dads & grand mas final years-DECADES ago.

The medical community does not know wtf to do with the senior community. They don't even understand many ailments of younger adults but they sure as heck know what procedures the patient and medicare will approve.

On knee replacements, consult your doctor immediately for you to be given proper medication and treatment so as to prevent your knee pains from getting worse. Remember that before you start taking any medication or undergo any treatment, make sure that it is doctor recommended. It is important that you go through a medical check-up first to determine the proper medication you should take and exercises you should do. please check your facts. knee replacement for seniors has not been stopped. the rest of what you've said is just boilerplate. the best thing is to get the insurance companies out and give us single payer. if you need financial help, there is help to ensure you have necessary care. if you look at the romney/ryan medical mess of a plan, seniors that are not now covered will not have coverage. they will get 'vouchers' that they can try to convince an insurance monolith to accept. yeah, fat chance the insurance companies will cover you for knee replacements THEN! sheesh. you really do need to start reading instead of watching fox tv. i'm not flaming here, just stating facts. even in school, you needed to do your homework. i am an independent voter without an ax to grind but i've actually plowed through the ryan plan, the new republican plan and the obama plan and the obama plan saves a pile of money while covering people better. you just have to wade through pounds of printed paper to get to the good stuff. it's true there are a few things i'd like to see changed but then, i'd like to see the house and senate pass a bill that covers ALL of us the way THEY are covered.

take the time to read the paperwork IN CONTEXT, not just the sound bites you hear on tv. you'll see what i mean.
looking out for my mom,
jerry
