God bless to your uncle, but as a general rule to EVERYONE, people should always think before they drive and get behind the wheel of a car.
You may save your own life.

Actually I am 37, never had an accident or ticket in my 20 years of driving, and just pulled the keys of my 62 year old father, thank you very much. 67 isn't exactly young, and vision and hearing can start to go at that age.
I am a firm believer, and advocate, for road testing all person's that are eligible for social security benefits. That would mean our 67 year old friend here would have had to have been tested.
I mean no disrespect towards the elderly. However, they can and are at times, dangerous behdind the wheel of a car.
I agree that some elderly drivers can be dangerous, but if I tried to "pull the keys" from my 60 year old father, I'm pretty sure I'd end up hurting, and he'd still have the keys. There's a big difference between 62 and elderly, unless there's some kind of actual illness involved.

This was my grandfather. if you people are going to sit there and talk crap then you have no heart. My grandfather was the greatest man ever.
just think of my family and the grief they are going through.
you need to sit down and think, what if one of your family members died suddenly.

Dimples, no matter what some of these people say we need to keep our thoughts and prayers with your aunt and the rest of the family. Your uncle was the sweetest kindest man I ever knew. He took my family in and was a father to me and a grandpa and great grandpa to my children and grandson. We lost a great man!!!!!!!

It is all in the police report, file a FOIA when it is complete and you will see.
For someone whom seems to know it all you sure are clueless. If this whole thing was that simple we would beable to have that report.......unfortunately there is more going on than you even know, getting this report right now is not that simple and won't be ready for quit a while - per the police department.

Congratulations on patting your back after you took your dad's license at such a young age. I suppose you are putting him in a nursing home next week so you won't have to be bothered by him.

I think we can all agree what a tragic ACCIDENT this was. Mr. Dukes sounds like a wonderful man who will be missed by all that knew & loved him. My thoughts also go out to Chad, the driver of the pickup. I'm very close to Chad and I can tell you that he's having a very difficult time dealing with this tragedy. Al thou he did stay in his own lane (he did NOT go into the oncoming lane to pass the semi) and was only going 35mph, the ACCIDENT couldn't be avoided. It didn't matter how old the drivers were, it could have happened to any one of us! It was an ACCIDENT with two victims.
