This story should be put out there Nationally so people can hear from a guy who went toe-to-toe with her. When you are an advisary pile on the compliments like this guy, this has to help "THINKING" people realize that the McCaine-Palin Ticket is the best choice. However, I'm sad to report that the Mindless, thoughtless, liberals have taken over the media, schools and universities and have brought forth way to many brain-dead emotional non-thinkers and thus we are left with very close elections. Anyone with a brain can see how fake and how empty the Democratic party is and how Obama offers NOTHING to move this country in the right direction. This is not OPINION, these are FACTS!!!
Abortion is such a private and intense issue that it is hard to come to a middle ground and people obviously have strong and emotional opinions. If you are thinking, perhaps, that I am pro-abortion, you are wrong. If you think that my believing it should be legal is supporting it, you are wrong again.

What about our constitution, and our civil rights (and I am not talking about abortion referring to civil rights - i am referring to the Justice department and the Patriot Act and Wiretapping)? What about separation of church and state? One of the reasons there is so much strife in the middle east is because it's a religious state and they are so intolerant that they are willing to die and kill to make their point. What about or national debt that our kids will have to pay for, and what about balancing the budget? What about taking care of the weakest of our society (and I know what you will say to this about the weakest) and those who have no healthcare? What about the working poor, and healthcare for all of our children?

What about decreasing the capital gains taxes for the wealthy (the easiest money to make), and taxing the working peoples' incomes (the most difficult money to make)? And how about closing the corporate loopholes that allow our amoral corporations cut jobs, ship them overseas, and use the Shareholders as an excuse for immoral decision making? What about supporting our gay brothers and sisters in their right to have a life with the life partner of their choosing, just as we have all been able to do?

What about diplomacy with Iran? One of the reasons they have become a threat is that the past 8 years has been spent ignoring them instead of negotiating and listening?

I am probably a traditional Republican economically, however, I do believe they have spent more irresponsibly in the past 8 years than in our history since Reagan, and infringed upon our civil rights dramatically.

I hope that anyone in either party who votes on a single issue takes the time to examine all the factors going into choosing a candidate. Am I saying McCain is bad? No, I am not. But do not call those 'liberals' non thinking ("mindless, thoughless". I believe it's because we do look at the ideology of our nation that we come to those conclusions. I am saying that with the factors most important to me, I feel that Obama is a much better choice.

Great, WOOD TV is going to promote Palin because she's a "Christian" and West Michigan is all about conservative, political Christinity.
Palin represents the good old days of coat hanger abortions and dirty secret women's "clinics" led by unlicensed doctors. She represents a return to the days of ignorance, and ineffective medicine. Yes, promoting creationism as a viable teaching theory in the science classroom affects your healthcare because medicine is a science. Be grateful for the theory of evolution the next time you take that antibiotic.
And you are free to move to Canada anytime..

leave religion out of it, oh you wouldn't be able to vote for Obama either, because he is a christian too. Just stop it all of you!!!! It's getting old!!

Really, are capital gains easy to make? Ask a guy who flips houses how easy it is. The money that aquires assets has most often been taxed already.

I agree, payroll taxes are too high. We should remove them. Figure out your taxes once a year & send a check. Don't allow the government free use of your money. If people actually had to part with the money at tax time we'd see how much government they really want.

The government needs to be smaller.

First of all, if you are going to bring Christianity into this, make sure you know how to spell the word correctly. Secondly, I think there is nothing wrong with teaching creationism ALONG WITH evolution. You paint the picture like Palin doesn't want evolution taught, and you are dead wrong about that.
That's funny. You found a typo and assumed I know nothing about Christianity. I was raised in an evangelical church and know all too well the fear tactics that are used to keep the flock pliable and unquestioning.

Where creationism is taught as a viable alternative, children become afraid of science. There is tremendous peer pressure pushing them to reject science facts in favor of whatever their local pastor or parents are telling them. Teaching creationism is all about bringing fear and superstition into public school - tremendous fear in "divine judgment" and the "end times." The only thing theoretical about evolution is where it conjectures on when and how certain changes occured. That we are related to primates is a science fact.

As far as the Genesis account of creation goes, as a Christian you should understand Genesis. But you can't understand Genesis from your "gut." Why don't you turn to the people who actually wrote it so you can understand that Genesis is an outline, and other written and oral traditions are essential for understanding it? When the Jewish people began writing their traditions down, they were afraid that if the books were stolen, then their religion could also be stolen. So they kept the writing brief knowing that their beliefs could never be understand without the oral stories accompanying them.

Why is it that in the "Demo-critics" posts the language is rotten, mis-spelled, and hateful. Oh yeah! It's because they are ignorant, and without any morals. They are all about their rights. Especially their right to kill the unborn.
Sarah Palin is the greatest pick for V.P. in many years for either party.

So we're just supposed to pull jobs out of the sky? Could you tell me what kind of employee requirements you'd like for these $14 an hour jobs? Just a high school education? You can kiss those days goodbye.

Palin made the point that the McCain/Palin ticket plans to build energy independence through American ingenuity and American workers. I have yet to hear any specific plans from Senator Obama on ANYTHING. If you're in the know as to how he's going to bring thousands of $14 an hour jobs to Grand Rapids, please enlighten me.

Alright you got me. I was just too. entranced. It was like I was watching God on my very own television screen. All I could do was sit blank eyed staring at the TV drooling and repeating over and over again "hope and change, change and hope."

Since I've already admitted I wasn't listening, did he happen to mention what forms of alternative energy he plans on using?

Science fact: Law of conservation of energy. By that Law, the Big Bang is impossible. For if there was nothing, then no big bang could have possibly happened.
It seems to me that Science is more afraid of Religion than Religion is afraid of Science. Because most religious people believe that Science and Religion can coexist, but most scientists are "Science only" types.
