Full story: WOOD-TV Grand Rapids and Michigan

He likes her, but he expresses no knowledge of her policies or political history. Palin is looking more and more like a shyster GOP hack every day:

Palin’s Start in Alaska: Not Politics as Usual
"The traditional turning points that had decided municipal elections in this town of less than 7,000 people — Should we pave the dirt roads? Put in sewers? Which candidate is your hunting buddy?— seemed all but obsolete the year Ms. Palin, then 32, challenged the three-term incumbent, John C. Stein.

Anti-abortion fliers circulated. Ms. Palin played up her church work and her membership in the National Rifle Association. The state Republican Party, never involved before because city elections are nonpartisan, ran advertisements on Ms. Palin’s behalf...Ms. Palin and her passion for Republican ideology and religious faith overtook a town...“Sarah comes in with all this ideological stuff, and I was like,‘Whoa,’” said Mr. Stein, who lost the election.“But that got her elected: abortion, gun rights, term limits and the religious born-again thing. I’m not a churchgoing guy, and that was another issue:‘We will have our first Christian mayor.’”...

“I thought:‘Holy cow, what’s happening here? Does that mean she thinks I’m Jewish or Islamic?’” recalled Mr. Stein, who was raised Lutheran...The point was that she was a born-again Christian.”...Ms. Palin’s first months in office here were so jarring — and so alienating — that an effort was made to force a recall...but the idea was dropped... Palin approached the town librarian about the possibility of banning some books...The librarian, Mary Ellen Emmons, pledged to “resist all efforts at censorship,” Ms. Kilkenny recalled. Ms. Palin fired Ms. Emmons shortly after taking office but changed course after residents made a strong show of support....Once in office, Ms. Palin asked many of Mr. Stein’s backers to resign — something virtually unheard of in Wasilla in past elections. The public works director, city planner, museum director and others were forced out. The police chief, Irl Stambaugh, was later fired outright.

“It was just things you don’t ever associate with a small town,” Victoria Naegele, then the managing editor of The Frontiersman, recalled of Ms. Palin’s first year in office.“It was like we were warped into real politics instead of just ‘Do you like Joe or Mary for the job?’ It was a strange time.”..."

This is exactly the attitude we need in Washington DC ... not a bunch of the same old rhetoric ... like empty promises of "hope" and "change" ... whatever that is.

Let's elect someone who is a true outsider who will spotlight the cronyism and corruption, and not be afraid to speak up and fight against it.
It's no wonder the media and Washington establishment are afraid of Sarah ... and why the american people will love her.

Great, WOOD TV is going to promote Palin because she's a "Christian" and West Michigan is all about conservative, political Christinity.

Palin represents the good old days of coat hanger abortions and dirty secret women's "clinics" led by unlicensed doctors. She represents a return to the days of ignorance, and ineffective medicine. Yes, promoting creationism as a viable teaching theory in the science classroom affects your healthcare because medicine is a science. Be grateful for the theory of evolution the next time you take that antibiotic.

First of all, if you are going to bring Christianity into this, make sure you know how to spell the word correctly. Secondly, I think there is nothing wrong with teaching creationism ALONG WITH evolution. You paint the picture like Palin doesn't want evolution taught, and you are dead wrong about that.

This story should be put out there Nationally so people can hear from a guy who went toe-to-toe with her. When you are an advisary pile on the compliments like this guy, this has to help "THINKING" people realize that the McCaine-Palin Ticket is the best choice. However, I'm sad to report that the Mindless, thoughtless, liberals have taken over the media, schools and universities and have brought forth way to many brain-dead emotional non-thinkers and thus we are left with very close elections. Anyone with a brain can see how fake and how empty the Democratic party is and how Obama offers NOTHING to move this country in the right direction. This is not OPINION, these are FACTS!!!

One thing you mentioned about emotion is very pertinent. If you were to check opposing sites such as The Free Republic & The Democratic Underground, you immediately notice how emotional liberal posters are in comparison with conservative ones. In addition, liberals are more interested with the opinions of celebrities than their counterparts on the Free Republic. I'm not sure why, just an observation.

It wasn't a comparison. It was a point of interest. But if you want to get into comparisons..... You can be governor of a state as big as Texas and still really mess up the role of president.

Silly GR republicans. You can lie to yourself all you want about who you say you like. "Oh I think she's a lovely choice!... What a breath of fresh air this Ms. Pailin is!"

But you can't lie about: 1) her 17 yr old daughter is preggers 2) Palin cheated on her husband with his business partner 3) Palin practices Voodoo 4) She believes in UFO's and 5) She's part illegal alien.
Look it up losers!
