city streets

I am so frustrated. I see the city working on some of the streets here in town. However, I do have to wonder, why on earth are we getting gravel put down?!!

That is just dumb. I live in town! Not in the country. If I wanted gravel roads, I would live in the country.

And, how come it is that they only work on the main roads and the streets that the fancy houses are on? What the heck is the problem with fixing the streets that are "less traveled"?

I have lived here in the same house for almost 20 years and the street to the north has been worked on only twice. The other street that runs north and south has NEVER been worked on in our time here. Sad.
But Washington, Kentucky and of course Cottonwood are always paid attention to. Heck, Cottonwood was under repair for months and ended up getting smooth surfacing.
The other repairs they do are the crappy chip seal.

Pay attention city! Time to get with it and fix things like they should be. You are charging enough taxes!

Get on those smaller streets and fix them right! And, working on the curbs and ditches would be great too.

Other cities actually care about their residents. Iola should too.
