People of color cannot get together without violence. Their nature is violent. Their priorities are screwed up. Whether it is Asian soccer games, cinco de mayo or a rap concert. People of color cannot control their emotions as they kill each other over drugs and disrespect. I got news for you idiots, no one respects your violence. You don't hear about white Minnesotans killing each other at white events like State fair, Taste of Mn., Grand Old Days, or the Uptown Art Fair. We have youth sporting tournaments without violence. Of course the more people of color who relocate here the less white our events are going to be and then the violence will follow. It is too bad that the good people of color can't do more to instill proper values in the bad people of color. The fact is young men of color are in the minority of the population, yet commit the vast majority of crimes. Why would white people want you around? You create the ill will which white people feel towards you and then by extension towards others of your color. Minnesota is the most progressive liberal state in America. That means we are more tolerant and accepting of others than anywhere else. We have a huge population of gays and transgenders and a rising population of hispanics, people of mid east descent, Somalians, a long time population of blacks. You people of color can hate us crackers all you want but you don't hear in the news about white people killing people of color, or beating up gays like you do down south. If anything it is the other way around. It is no secret that our crime rate has risen dramatically since more people of color have moved here. This crime prevents most whites from wanting to have anything to do with you, then you label us racists. We are not racists, we are realists. A person of color who make something of themself have an excellent chance of getting ahead in life as there are mandatory hiring quotas which must be met for a company to be politically correct. There is more money for a person of color who pursues an education. If as a person of color, you choose the wrong path, you are passing up an excellent opportunity to get ahead. I have black and hispanic friends who are all law abiding individuals. They too are afraid of young men of color. How many blacks get killed here after they moved up from Chicago, East St. Louis, or Gary Ind. to escape their local colored people created violence only to find that it exists here now thanks to the climate of colored violence which has infiltrated our great state. Round up the illegals, deport them and step hard on the gangs. Life would better for all no matter what color you are.

The District del Sol neighborhood is a scary dump with scary people. There's an apartment building that's known for drugs and prostitution and the whole area needs to be razed. The houses look like crack dens and I see people staggering out of the restaurants on Cesar Chavez drunk at 9 a.m. I wish the cops would police this area more stringently, because there have been more and more shootings in the three years I've lived there.

We don't go to Cinco de Murder anymore. There are always tons of gang bangers and the cops have to hustle to keep tabs on all of them. It's not a comfortable event and every year, there's a story about a shooting or a murder. The whole District del Sol neighborhood has gone down the toilet.

I am from the nieghborhood, and I live right down in the heart of the festivities. I HATE it and want them to get this trashy festival out of my neighborhood! It started as a community event, then the man wanted a piece. Now it is an overpriced/overhyped money grubbing event. Local restaurants don't even make money from it because they charge so much to have a stand. I am sick of garbage pail teenagers running through my yard fighting, not being able to get into my driveway, and all the trash. Take it to Harriet Island where the police can patrol it better!

seriously?Drive down my street and notice the hard work we put into our house inside and out, and my neighbors as well. If you know about an apartment as you say, are you a participant? Report it. If the Mexicano population that lives in the del Sol district wants respct, they need to earn respect. Respect is something that is earned, not demanded. If demanded, it produces hate and bigotry. So...to all of you that say you DESERVE RESPECT? Why not try to earn it......Why not try to earn it by parenting.....why not try to earn it by disciplining your child and teach him right from wrong....why not do this instead of relying on the rest of the village to do it for you. I am sure the police have many other things that they could be doing to help your community, but still you complain about the police.
