I can't believe this article (I really can) didn't mention you have to overcome the political incumbant party designation.

Thank the heavens that our judiciary has continued to escape from partisan politics that have poisoned our state, though Mr. Griffith seems to want a partisan judiciary. I hope that in the future neither party will endorse any judicial candidates to allow candidates to run on their qualifications and merits.

ESCAPE PARTISAN POLITICS?!! Are you nuts? Most judges are liberal hand slappers. The movement to boot them is gaining momentum. It's about time!

Oh, and our judiciary isn't partisan already! How do you think these political hacks got there job. They were appointed by a partisan Governor.

The question is not whether it is partisan or not but which partisan gets to pick the judge.
